Everyone has been pointing to top 50 Ws....now we have 3- beat creighton and we should be ok. Lose and we've got nothing to snitch about if we're out.

Losses by Washington & Creighton hurting Providence; will carry 3 Quad 1 wins to @thegarden . More work to do, IMO Per Kmac Better win Thursday Dex, otherwise I think they will be priming the Dunk "ice" for the NIT As an aside, I still don't understand the love affair with Butler. They are not that good. They are getting far more mileage off the Nova win, than we are getting from the Nova and Xavier wins. Wish we were playing them Thursday on a neutral court. Both Finished 19-12 PC 10-8... Butler 9-9 in league. They split the regular season series. Butler's two best wins are Nova and Ohio State. PC's two best are X and Nova. Although close and constantly fluctuating, PC currently has the better RPI and strength of schedule. But Butler is on firm ground and PC is bubble? Which is why the NIT talk is unlikely even with a loss on Thursday. Now I don’t really think we’re an NCAA team but the resume is there. It’s a very weak bubble. We’re not in last 4 in status on most bracketologist updates. So if we’re team 63/64, it’s doubtful that so many teams jump over us.

Yes top 50 wins are important...butt he committee isn’t made up of robots. These guys understand that beating Creighton is more impressive than beating Buffalo...regardless of rpi mandating one is quad 1 and the other is not.

Today's update from Palm has both Providence and Butler as 11 seeds. Marquette as a 12.

It's hard to decipher Walk-Speak and pls let me know if I am mis-guided here but the four guys most tuned in are as follows:
Walk says we need to win Thursday or it's NIT
Yank agrees with Walk
friara thinks we are In
JMA79 thinks we are IN
However the big losers are the FTH community who have had to prematurely endure this thread started by the newbie NUTTY the non-professor back on January 13th and stimulated by old pal walk. I mean WTF

Love how the ESPN crew have already started the Notre Dame Deserving Mantra last night. The push for ND and Cuse will start if they survive their 1ST Rd game.

Correct on my stance. Yesterday's results changed nothing for me. Pre conference tournaments, still need 1 more.

It's hard to decipher Walk-Speak Maybe if he'd stop shoving Twinkies in his mouth he'd be easier to understand.

What would you expect they are always stumping for their ACC buddies, heck they'd have the whole conference in the tourney.... I am in the wait until tourneys unfold camp....when your on the bubble much can happen going through the conference tourneys... Kinda like the hockey pairwise, every night your standing can change....only with bball it's your standing with the faceless committee pickers I sure hope Ed and his team are not breathing easier, they need to keep winning and playing a whole lot better especially on offense.

If chalk holds the rest of the way, we will be in the last 4 with a loss in the BET.

guessing butler is in over pc due to one bad loss...gtown at 151. But I agree, if I could pick one to play of the 3-7 group, it'd be them.
after a pretty thorough review, I think we're in better shape than initially thought. Not sure how/why based on what my eyes tell me, but a lot would have to happen for us to be entirely bounced. I think we're an 11 and only move up a seed line with 2 Ws. History tells us that there's not a lot of seed movement between fri-sun.

FWIW, which isn't much, I have been saying since before the Xavier game that we needed 2 more W's. We got one yesterday and still need one more or a snub is in the works.
