I think if we get Marquette it will be viewed as a play in game. Winner goes dancing, loser goes home.

If seton hall wins, we play Creighton at 2:30. If butler wins, we play Marquette at 9:30

@kevinmcnamara33 Losses by Washington & Creighton hurting Providence; will carry 3 Quad 1 wins to @thegarden . More work to do, IMO

The Washington loss probably helps us more than it hurts. They were right in the bubble, so them falling down should help us more than picking up an extra quad 1 win.
I’m hoping seton hall wins tonight so that we get Creighton and a better chance to pad our resume. Marquette then falls to #7 and has to play on Wednesday against DePaul, who just beat them. If they do avoid the bad loss, they get Villanova. While I think we’d have a better chance against the eagles, a loss to them is much more damaging than a loss to Creighton. Conversely, beating them would be quad 2, and Creighton would be quad 1.

First of all - it would not be a snub if we're left out unless we get to the BE finals. Our metrics suck. Didn't realize marq was a possibility. A loss there would hurt a ton. you honestly believe that if PC beats Creighton but loses to Xavier Friday night it wouldn't be a snub?? rpi would be 35 and sos would be 12. It would be a snub of biblical proportions...

Nevertheless, without a win in the BET, I betcha we'll set history. We've lost 3 of last 5. A first game loss there would make it 4 of our last 6. The Dance is a tournament where one loss and you're out. Seems to me that we would be trending in the wrong direction.

More work to do, IMO Per Kmac Better win Thursday Dex, otherwise I think they will be priming the Dunk "ice" for the NIT As an aside, I still don't understand the love affair with Butler. They are not that good. They are getting far more mileage off the Nova win, than we are getting from the Nova and Xavier wins. Wish we were playing them Thursday on a neutral court. Both Finished 19-12 PC 10-8... Butler 9-9 in league. They split the regular season series. Butler's two best wins are Nova and Ohio State. PC's two best are X and Nova. Although close and constantly fluctuating, PC currently has the better RPI and strength of schedule. But Butler is on firm ground and PC is bubble?
