I agree. Bullock is one of our better players. We just need a few better players around him.

I don't want Bullock to leave, I am just acknowledging that it is possible. Rodney has been asked to play out of position, like so many guys have over the past dozen years. He is not a power forward, he is a wing guy. He is often asked to guard much bigger guys, yet he leads our team in rebounding, while being an ok defender. His flaws lie in his shot selection, his accuracy from 3 point range (leads team in attempts and shoots only 31%), and his propensity to turn the ball over in big spots. Rodney was the perfect 3rd option last year, as Dunn and Bentil drew the double teams and he was left open. He is an above average player, but not the stud that Cooley ("He could lead the Big East in scoring) or we the fans had hoped for.

Right...I guess he's only averaging less than 2 attempts per game. The fact that he is 14-43, just magnifies the misses in my mind I guess. Yankee: How could you forget Pitino stat that shooting 33% from 3 is equivalent to shooting 50% from 2. Now my concern is that it takes your center out of rebounding position.

Put me in the column of those hoping that Bullock stays for a third year of play as a Friar.Yes,his play often has me pulling out my hair. But, he is still one of PC's better players. To me, it is crazy talk to want him to leave hoping some 5th Year Senior will miraculously appear and be the Messiah next season. Bullock should be a primary "recruit" for Ed Cooley to keep. I think Diallo can take a major step up next year. Cartwright will be a very good PG again next year. Bullock may be better with other primary options and another year under his belt.

'71 I get your point but that was 30 years ago the game has changed. 248 out of the 351 DI basketball teams are shooting at least 33% from 3 point range, so 33% (Holt) and 31% (Bullock) are well below average.
As a team the Friars are shooting 37% this year, good for 81st in the country. Take Holt and Bullock and their 158 jacks out of the stats, and the team is shooting 40%.

Lindsey, bullock, Diallo, fazekas, jackson should all be playing the same position. It will be very hard for Diallo to make the expected soph jump with bullock and lindsey on the roster. So if bullock returns, it's either in a reduced roll for Diallo or we're in the same boat. I think he leaves. Not necessarily what I want but we'd benefit in 18-19.

Yep log jam....let the younger guy play and build for the future. Although as the roster stands now, Bullock would be playing out of position for the 3rd year in a row. Need to get a legit 5th year 5.

Yank, how many teams are shooting 50% from the field? Actually, 37% from three is equal to 55% from two. Looking at it from that perspective, it should be bombs away!

So let's say we get the legit 5...not only do we hiss off our two recruits we need to pick between bullock and lindsey or cut Diallo.

Council goes for the legit 5. Bringing in the 2 guard (also needed) would mean someone else is moving on.

Why would bullock stay? Don't see a scenario where his minutes don't get cut if we add another player.

I got Bullock to VCU...just my guess. Don't think he comes back. Minutes need to drop if he does stay. I would think Holt and Watson takes some of his time at the 4, when Young and Dickens play the 5. Think Lindsey gets the majority of minutes at the 3, Bullock would get a few, Jackson and Zeke would fight for what's left. This is with no additions, if we get the quality 5 that we need, his minutes will drop even more.
