That was a good effort by the Friars, but we did not in any stretch of the imagination play a good game. We played a nice 3 minutes in the 1st half to go up 15, but the other 42 minutes we were not good.
Effort is about the only thing not to complain about. Shot selection, shooting, transition fast break offense, free-throw shooting down the stretch, and clock management should all be complained about.

I thought Rodney was invisible for a significant part of the second half...

I'm guessing our opponents shoot 85 percent after we miss a front end of a 1 and 1....75 percent from 3.
Our kids play hard. They just aren't good enough.

Should be 6-6 at worse right now. Love how Cooley gets his guys to give it their all, but he needs to be better.
The fact they should be atleast 6-6 right now proves a lot of people were wrong about them this year. We are good enough to be in the bubble mix this year, just too many blown opporrunities we should have had. Cooley deserves a good chunk of blame.

Actually it proves we were pegged exactly right...what have we done to say we're better? Our best win is a home W against vermont. Think about that. Now I think well get butler or X but it's pretty damn hard to go through a season without a single w against a legit tourney team.

Should be 6-6? Marquette and Seton Hall 1 could have been L's. We should be what we are, 4-8. We just ain't that good. Bottom half Big East team, cut and dry. Should be's do not count for Sh*t. We are what we are, a mediocre basketball team, who will probably miss the NIT. Onto the hockey Friars, and next year for the hoops.

I agree about our flaws, I just think some of you overrate the rest of the league and forget they have their own flaws. We can beat 5-9 any night, on any court, and I think people expected us to be more in the Depaul mix.
I disagree about @ Marq and home vs SHU. Didn't we lead for a majority of both those games? It's not like we stole them...Depaul was an epic collapse, and I say we should have won atleast 1 of the SJU/Nova/@shu games. 2 if we could hit FT's and lay ups. So I say we should be 6-6 or 7-5 with a pretty soft 6 game finish ahead compared to the first 12 games.
I still think we win the next two games.

Upsets happen all the time. Even keno pulled a few a season. Splitting the rest doesn't hide our flaws or mean we should've finished in the top 5.

How many players away do you guys think this team is away from being a legit top half BE team?

Everyone returning? 2...an emt under the radar frosh guard and 5th year 5. I agree. Which mean 2 have to go. Council and ? Rodney takes 5 year elsewhere? Zeke heads back to Midwest?

Put me in the column of those hoping that Bullock stays for a third year of play as a Friar.Yes,his play often has me pulling out my hair. But, he is still one of PC's better players. To me, it is crazy talk to want him to leave hoping some 5th Year Senior will miraculously appear and be the Messiah next season.
