Teams I'd like to avoid at all costs until the final are Villanova and St. John's. Also we've already beat Gtown twice so three times will be hard. I know you could argue the reverse for St. John's and Nova having beat us twice but they seemed like bad matchups.
In any event if the bracket stayed just like this I'd be thrilled.
If we're fortunate to play our way into the final, I'd love to get revenge on either of Nova or the Johnnies.

My advice would be to finish 2nd Sound advise, which clearly tips you over your 1% rate of contribution for the day.

Love to get a measure of payback against Xavier, just need Ed to stay out of the hospital and I think that can happen. I don't know if I'm just paranoid but every potential first round game sounds like trouble to me outside of Creighton and DePaul, neither of whom we'll be playing. I'm afraid of everyone else.

You missed it '82
I am now at 1/2 of 1 percent because mikemc was jealous and he demanded and abscounded with one half of my 1% ...walk remains at 95% altho blairsmom and thumper could file protests with the 3 mods that occasionally visit here

Words of Wisdom from the Most Interesting 1/2 of 1 %...
Point is it is doable - thinking we take SH on Tuesday then that sets up an anything goes battle against the resurgent Butler Bulldogs and with TIP back in the house I like our chances.
Situation on seedlings remains fluid for just about everyone though:
PC has: Seton Hall (away) Butler (Home)
Butler has: Gerogetown (home) PC (away)
SJU has: Marquette (away) NOVA (away)
G'Town has: Butler (away) Seton Hall (home)
Xavier has: Creighton (away)

Funny Yank but I feel just like Rock...and have all season
I am forced to conclude that we must be a little better than what the naked eye sees
Plus maybe I focus on the poor plays rather than the solid work
ie several shots we took in the waning minute or so instead of clock management...walk's man, Albert Lomamba, drives to the hoop with 1:19 to play and a full clock in particular
wherein the absolutely solid play of two frosh, Paschal and Ben, does not get the credit they deserved

None of the games are going to be "layups" for PC - at least that's how I see the BE and the nature of our team this year.
As others have stated before, we can compete with most BE teams when our dynamic duo and a 3rd contributor are firing on all cylinders...but have also demonstrated an absolute vulnerability to: turnovers, porous defensive efforts, poor foul shooting, foul trouble...
The sense of urgency wasn't uniformly reflected in the play of the team during the second half yesterday. We've got 4 games guaranteed at this point...two regular season, one BE and one tournament game. Beyond that - it's lose and go home.

I am looking at the next two games without the help of CD. His continued rest is the prudent choice and perhaps he'll be ready for the Big East Tournament to test his mobility and strength and ability to run and play and block and rebound.
In the meantime, P. Chukwu will have to hold his own in NJ and the DDC. His development continues.
