Mens first game is this Thursday - 1:00pm, home vs. Colgate.
FYI, Womens' team is already 1-1. Bad loss yesterday at BU. PC lead for most of the game, then gave up the tieing goal with 3:00 minutes left, then the winning goal with :13 seconds left. Crusher...They have a top ten Rutgers team coming in this Thursday night.

Some slight number flipping on the roster...and Sr.Gage Raftery is missing. It could be a number of things. But this roster is stacked so I don't know.

Not a great start for the men - lose 3-2, at home to Colgate. Had the lead twice, but gave it up both times and ended up losing.

Not a great start for the men - lose 3-2, at home to Colgate. Had the lead twice, but gave it up both times and ended up losing. Friars really controlled the game and should have won. On Colgate's winning goal - a PC player knocked it in on his own goal.... Womens' team also lost today to top ten Rutgers Positive soccer news - Mens team picked up 2 quality commitments - Steben Lopera, from Revere MA plays for the NE Revolution Academy club, he's a 2024 recruit (Friars usually don't get these early commitments.) Also, Brandon Marshall from North Carolina, plays with Charlotte FC

Apparently Cole Dewhurst/back is not going to play this season. Since he played top 5 total min's as a fr (starting every game). That's a setback to this season's chances. His number tonight was worn by Gevork Diarbian #16. Why the number change for Diarbian (#10) I don't know.
The good news is two of their scorers converted: Diarbian & McSorley. The not good news is Luis Garcia hasn't picked up a point yet but at least he got a few shots. Absolutely perfect setting Fri. after the ghastly first two: one with blistering sunlight the other with stifling humidity. Several nice shots but we'll give Tulgar goal of the match:

Mens soccer team struggling early this season - lose to Brown last night 1-0, after earlier in the week having a 1-1 tie with URI.

Team made a bicycle kick -Santos- in the first 15 mins hold up for a 1-0 W. Single goal tonight in spite of UNH playing the 2nd half with a man down. UNH was a highly disciplined ball control team. And still played very tough after their man was match ejected. (Note:Man of Match, GilSantos, has had an inj-plagued career)
This evening -very nice night- saw a significantly different lineup. Two regulars at B po.didn't start or play. They have only scored 2g in last 3 games getting SO once. 5-year MF K.Vang missed his second straight game and Back Cole Dewhurst still on missing list. New crew looked a bit more determined, though still no goal for LuisGarcia yet which has to be a real cause for concern for HC and staff going into BE Sched.

Friars can't carry the momentum after the big UNH win - score late to tie Villanova, but that's how it ends, 1-1.
