I saw us as an 11 somewhere else too. Have to think DePaul is a literal must win

I am feeling better about the Friars than some of our fans.
X game was certainly deflating. But---I have not quit on this team yet.

Will it survive tomorrow? everything is now problematical including Josh's stamina Going into the season I thought we would be deeper than we had been in years. Of course the Hopkins injury changed everything, but I thought we would have gotten a lot more out of Floyd, Castro and Dual.

He has been flat out bad, worse than last season for sure. I thought he’d start and average 8-10ppg

hops injury changed our season but not the fact we couldn't shoot or lacked depth up front and our guards aren't there yet. we got wins b/c we usually had the two best players on the floor but look at the BE rosters. What individual matchups are we winning? Carter will get his. Oduro 50% (max) of the time. That's it.

bracketville.wordpress.com/2024/01/25/qt-colorado-nets-road-win-questions-for-villanova/#more-26564Questions for Villanova after a drubbing at St. John’s. While the Wildcats have notable wins over North Carolina, at Creighton and Texas Tech (neutral), they currently post an 11-8 overall record, having dropped four of five games – the only win in that stretch came at DePaul. Saturday, Nova heads to Butler, before hosting Marquette and Providence. It’s a stretch that can re-energize Villanova’s seed or pushes them directly toward the bubble Some kudos to Providence. The Friars went on the road and won at Seton Hall. While SHU wasn’t at full strength, it still counts. Providence has a better-than-you-think resume, sitting 5-5 vs. Quads 1/2, including wins over Wisconsin and Marquette.

If any of the media calls us lucky for Richmond missing the game due to “general soreness”, while Hop is currently out for the season I am going to lose my mind
I saw a couple bracket guys imply it last night, I can see the narrative coming

He didn't even realize we beat DePaul on the road (as bad as they are, still counts) and never once does he mention that we, too, were missing somebody. And were missing somebody for the 2nd half when we hosted the Hall before.
