Chief, minutes played is tied directly to results, and that is what has been shorted. Your complaint reminds me of the story of the old man sitting by a wood burning stove saying, "give me heat and then I'll add the wood."

Appreciate that he might be frustrated, but we're all of 3 games into the season and none of us have any idea how Duke and MAL compare when playing against each other in practices. My guess is that head to head competition and MAL's A/TO ratio go a long way towards Duke having 3x the minutes/game thus far. 3 games in, here are the YTD Averages for Duke and MAL:
YTD Ave. Duke / MAL Min/Game: Duke 27; MAL 9 FG%: Duke .286: MAL .286 3Pt%: Duke .429 (3-7): MAL .000 (0-4) FT%: Duke .750 (3-4); MAL .000 (0-0) PPG: Duke 6; MAL 1.3 Reb: Duke 2.7; MAL 0.0 A/TO: Duke 7/11; MAL 1/7
What the stats don't reflect, is how disruptive a player might be on the defensive end (other than steals: Duke-1, MAL-0).
Aside from the two of them, I have to say that White deserved the PT that he got (largely at AJ's expense) last night. Kudos to Maliek for making the most of the opportunity given to him.
Got to trust Ed's call, and hope that MAL makes great strides with the minutes he gets going forward. MAL's all of 3 games into his 2nd year, and deservedly playing in a reserve role to Kyron last season.

1 assist and 7 Turnovers, and he is being shorted. Okay Chief.

We get frustrated watching him trying to shoot a foul shot. MAL is clearly overmatched at this level. Best of luck to him at his 3rd school in 3 years.

While still frustrated I'm sure, MAL's dad is softening his tone. Like any father, he wants the most for his kid. Truly hope that MAL's confidence and grit is restored to the level that his Dad is accustomed to.

change gonna come
with all due respect.....if things stay the way they are now I hope he doesn't think he's gonna just bounce to an ACC or SEC school
wise move to enjoy the charter flights and get the PC degree IMHO
what's the % of D-1 guys that go to the NBA?? like 3% or something
and fwiw it's not like Ed hasn't gave him opportunity
MAL just hasn't been able to seize it

Dad wants his son to be successful and so do we. As I am sure the coaching staff does, but in the end it's the player that needs to perform

Dad wants his son to be successful and so do we. If this kid becomes successful here it will be a better turnaround than JD Martinez.

He can’t hold Alosa’s jock as a player. He might be able to if he transfers to New Hampshire.
