If he can defend in any way shape or form, he'd be playing 30 minutes per game. Offensive footwork has always there, he was just too slow. Now that he has slimmed down and appears quicker, we could really use him.
But yes, the ship has sailed and we must watch what we have...

I'll play...."Q" came in with fazekas, edwards, council...that's 4 schollies that would be taken next year and make up a beauty of a senior class...which means no David Duke at a minimum. Kid had a great attitude and a great friend/relative in frisome but he ain't defending the rim. I'll take my chances.
...now if you want to ask me what in the hell they saw in jax for one of those departed....
just watched that highlight from the news...that ain't playing in the BE.

Big swing and a miss on that class. Was that part of the aftermath of Bob Simon's departure? Or do I have the wrong year?

Big swing and a miss on that class. Was that part of the aftermath of Bob Simon's departure? Or do I have the wrong year? I believe it was around that time. We missed on all of the primary targets and took tertiary guys.

In my later years I love to poke fun at Homers and I plead guilty to being one more often than not. I have been dishing out the criticism of our guys pretty good lately, however here's how I place blame right now among the younger players: MAL 0% NATE 0% Kalif 35% I could write a laundry list of frosh duds who turned out great but the folks here are astute fans in the main and they know the history. I urge the most vociferous critics to consider refraining from over-the-top trashing of the frosh....you know who you are . Be a man and take this season of dis-content with the same grace that Walk has voiced..."Cooley gets a Mulligan". Frosh will be Sophs and our Soph BIG will hopefully learn this year and be a productive Junior. Thank you and now we will resume normal programming Agree Young has been biggest disappointment on the season. I thought he would be good for 9-11 and 6-7 but he looks to have actually regressed. I also think Q would be getting some nice burn on this team.

Young was good tonight. He showed some real fire in the belly while being all by his lonesome in the paint. I am so happy for the kid.
As for that bad awful recruiting class? Like I said the other day, Big Ed turned his head toward olympics and visions of nba grandeur for a little over a year AND you just can't do that in big time basketball these days. Now he and us are paying for it dearly. He came back to Earth and damn look at the great results this past Summer.
Will take this year and maybe most of next to get back in the groove with the team results. Hey buck up kids...nobody is perfect.

I hate to lose but the future looks bright. I just hope we all live long enough to enjoy it.
