I hate the MAL possessions when no one else touches the ball.
Ed made a big mistake not feeding Watson all day

Lindsey and young are useless. ....gotta love friartown... mikemc, you know I love you but you're speaking out of your azz regarding Lindsey in this game. Either that or too many Guinesses at Murphys. Jalen led the team in rebounds, steals and blocks, while playing 37 minutes. Don't get caught up in the plague called thewalk. PIZZA, SODA, GRINDERS!!!

Agreed, Jalen played a respectable game. Rodney, on the other hand, was largely absent except from the line (fortunately).

Posted on other board;
"When Kyron went down not one player checked on him while walking off the court. When he got to the bench Kalif was clearly underwhelmed with him, even rolled his eyes.."

Coooley should tell him to miss every FREE foul shot Like he did today on the second foul shot with :06 left in the game and guess what It went in
We have made 101 free fouls shots this season so far
Guess how many we missed after 11 games——

For those fans who chose not to attend games such as Brown, Rider, Stonybrook, etc., they may have missed the best part of the season. Very exciting games, close down the stretch, results that could have gone either way. Who could ask for anything more? If we don't figure this out soon we're going to get our assess handed to us once the conference begins and my little opening joke may not be so funny after all.

I will pass on the rest of your assessment of Makai and dwell on the astute ending. he willed us to victory IMO.
Meanwhile ...likely the worst performance by the Friars in the Cooley Era when considering the opposition and the veterans we had on the court. Perhaps the worst since circa 1968 and we actually improved after KC re-injured his ankle. Like I said...this sr class will be remembered as forgettable
But let's dwell on some positives...few as they are:
Jackson finally showed up
Makai will be very fine...patience...a rose among thorns
Watson has offensive potential...needs a swift kick in the arse defensively...won't kick the ball out but I wouldn't either
ps I feel bad for drew edwards albeit he gets his nose dirty and had a bunch of rebs; missed opportunity again to earn mega minutes...just cant make a shot
pps Tom Panic move by some considered genius...not me, strictly desperation bec no arrows left in quiver

I was so desperate that i was thinking of Dajour coming in, with the hope being that a few alley-oops would open up our offense a bit.

Drew Edwards have a good game? 7 rebounds in 13 mins.
Thump - you think jalen played well ? Doesn't move on offense....gets torched on defense.
Anyone catch the Cooley post game? Had the we're freaked look.....

post the link walk
if you watched the game , I thought he had that look for most of the game
as you said last year when it appeared all hope was lost...you said he gets a mulligan bec of what he has accomplished
well that mulligan was returned to your quiver...are you still offering one now?
I fear he's gonna get too stressed over this team. No sense getting too frustrated and poisoning the well with the younger kids and the recruits. I watched Makai come down time and again and not a single guy was cutting nor picking nor screening ...just watching him like zombies. If Maliek and Alpha weren't hurt, there would have been some serious benching today and deservedly so. Some guys embarrassed themselves, Coach and the program today. It was weird bec the fans in our section at some point stopped being pi$$ed and started laughing and joking about the display on the court. You know like the old saying...not laughing with you but AT You!

Had the we're freaked look..... Yes, urinal cakes, I do think Jalen had a good game. He was our only leader yesterday. He was constantly reminding his teammates of their assignments in a coach on the floor way. Rebounded well, played solid D (i.e. his 3 steals and a couple of blocks). His usually reliable shot was off but he gave us solid minutes in a really ugly game. But we all expect your negative narrative. PIZZA, SODA, GRINDERS!!!

It was the postgame interview with fox. He absolutely gets a mulligan. I'm with you on this senior class. Leadership is so much more than telling people where to go.
...surprised he needs it this year but it's available.

It's shocking how far below expectations they are performing. Coming down to the wire at home against teams like Brown and Stony Brook? These are teams who can't even say hi to recruits we are signing.

No Guinness yesterday. Just watched a player play in his own little world. I watched a player more often than not jogging on a fast break. Numbers look great in a box score but as Rock says, the eye test isn’t being passed. ..and a team with seniors regularly running their sets down the stretch through frosh/sophs...
With Jalen's length he could have 5 layups a game if he could dribble twice...
