Looks like we know why we missed out on Quickley Miami is University-7. Sounds like the player is a rising HS senior in the 2018 class. My guess would be Nassir Little. [EDIT: Sounds like Immanuel Quickley.] The big thing is that Miami currently doesn't have any 2018 commits, so this is someone we've only been targeting. The allegations also note that the payments weren't going to take place until 2018, so no money has changed hands as of yet. www.reddit.com/r/CollegeBasketball/comments/72l2qa/espns_michael_eaves_based_on_texts_ive_received/

Quickley was always going to Kentucky. University-7 is Miami and the players mentioned there are likely Little and 2019 Vernon Carey, Jr. The Louisville commit in 2017 is Brian Bowen.

Today, the University of Louisville received notice that it is included in a federal investigation involving criminal activity related to men’s basketball recruiting. While we are just learning about this information, this is a serious concern that goes to the heart of our athletic department and the university. UofL is committed to ethical behavior and adherence to NCAA rules; any violations will not be tolerated. We will cooperate fully with any law enforcement or NCAA investigation into the matter. www.reddit.com/r/CollegeBasketball/comments/72mc3z/louisville_has_received_the_notice_that_it_is/

I think you are right lax. I think the conclusion now is it was Miami & Arizona battling for a player,

That's because Kentucky had already graduated from the pay for players program...now, it's agents/NBA/sneaker contracts for Kentucky in my opinion...
