What does everyone think? I think we go 3-4, not sure which 3 we get and which 4 we drop, other than I think Creighton is an L.

Interesting last seven games.
Done with Nova and Georgetown. Have SHU, Creighton and St. Johns away. Got X, Butler, DePaul and Marquette at home.
One could argue every one of those games is winnable [at Creighton probably the toughest---although the loss of Watson is huge].Could possibly lose them all [ except for the Blue Demons---Friars will be ready for that one]. Play like they did vs. Marquette and Nova this week and 5-2 is very feasible. Being the half full glass that I am---I will vote 5-2 here and now.

3 wins....
you thought they played well we'd 71? They played hard as crap but the numbers were pretty bad without Diallo.

In any predilection of this home stretch it looks like the Friars will out-perform preseason expectations of a 9th play finish, right? Of course, the BC and DePaul losses leave me so out of sorts that I basically "grandfather" the team to that 9th spot in my mind no matter what anway. 😟😡

I have seen Nova beat Creighton by 10 in Omaha. I have been in the building to see Nova demolish X and SHU this year. PC hung with Nova on Wednesday, was in a two point game with about a minute to go, forced turnovers like I have not seen the Wildcats experience this year.Friars certainly did not embarrass themselves on 2/1 vs. the very highly ranked Villanova team.Better team won.But Friars made them earn it and put a scare into them.Walk, are you saying PC stunk? If so, guess PC would have won if they played as you thought they would. If PC plays the way they did vs. Marquette and Nova the rest of the way, they will have a surprisingly strong finish.

They need to play better at the end of games than they did in those games the rest of the way. And they won't win if they get nothing out of Cartwright, Lindsey, Bullock, Holt. A frosh player in double figures is not going to get it done. The defense on Weds creating TOs by Nova kept them in the game by taking offensive opportunities away from Nova. Unfortunately they did not capitalize as much as they could have on those TOs. Also need to rebound on the defensive end much better.
Play with the effort they've played in last two games but play smarter and better is what I would say can get them a strong finish.
For those who think that Creighton is a better possibility now that Watson is out, don't bet on it. McCormick took a couple of games to get them to play w/o Watson but after watching them beat Butler at Butler, I think they figured it out.

71 - I said they played hard. I do not think they played particularly well. Especially in the second half and the numbers back that up. We caught 2 breaks against Nova. Jenkins has been cold for a few games (2-12 against us and several were open looks) and Brunson had 7 TOs. I'm guessing that's the most he's had this year. They were especially sloppy during the last ten minutes of the first half.
We shot 35% in the second half. Our three stars (Lindsey, Cartwright, Bullock) combined for 9-30 from the floor and 7 TOs (Bullock 0 asst - 2 TOs, Lindsey 0-1).
If you think we can go 5-2 with our juniors putting up that stat-line the rest of the way, you probably also think Keno's "style" would land recruits. Wait...you did. SO, IF we are going to go 5-2, our juniors better play a shitload better.
..that kid mintz looks like he could develop into a nice player. Looks to be a shitton better than white at this point.

And even with all of that the Friars were right there 🤓 Friars forced turnovers and played good defense on a day they were not shooting well. And speaking of stat lines Walk, the law of averages is with the Friars.Nova is a great defensive team.Kyron,Jalen and Rodney will average better than your above stats the rest of the year. There are good opportunities for the Friars to make some hay those last seven games. Mintz?

What a stupid post Monday Morning QB walk who doesn't play Pickem or pre-season Predictions. Jenkins was cold...howsabout Bullock for crice sakes you lughead So Jenkins is cold when he shoots poorly, with no credit to PC's D. So we got lucky that Brunson had seven turnovers with no credit to PC's D. PC's difficult offensive game is cuz they stink (is that what you are saying here Walk?). Positivity as to the opposition team.Negativity as to PC. I see a pattern here. You are consistent. I was upset with the BC,DePaul and St.Johns losses. Not the Nova ones.Did you expect PC to win on 2/1.Were you not expecting a blow out?

OK '71...let him go back to his corner and get toweled off ...then pummel him again if he opens his dirty mouth
and he better stay on point and not meander toward ancient history or I will too

Davion Mintz plays for Creighton...although you knew that b/c you saw Nova blow them out. THAT was in reference to friarman's post.
71 - YOU said PC will win their share if they play like they did against Nova. IF our three returning juniors shoot 30% and turn the ball over 7 times, we won't. You disagree and there's nothing I can do about that.
Jenkins - you don't think he missed open looks? You think our defense is good? We're 9th in FG% defense. Jenkins is 4 - 29 including an 0-7 against Marquette in his last three games. Do you think Marq plays good defense. Nova won't get out of the first weekend if Jenkins doesn't shoot better.
Dex - do you think we win 5 games with those three shooting 30%?
AND no I did not expect a blowout and would not have been surprised to see PC win the game. Nova coming off a pretty lucky UVA comeback has not been playing well (see Jenkins). To take it a step further, I thought Lindsey or Bullock would step up and lead us with an energetic crowd. Similar to Jamel when he had 30+ in the mid90s.
