As I suggested 6-months back, the sea of orange throughout one of the two NYC venues (in this case, the Barklay's Center) come ACC Tournament time, is going to alarm UNC and Duke, which are accustomed to play their Conference Tournaments in State (NC) through the years.
The fact that Syracuse is challenging their supremacy in what has been a top heavy league of late...and will now be a threat to win the ACC Tournament (potentially sending UNC and Duke off with lesser seedings - and into an out-of-region bracket) will sting as well.

The southern folks are not going to take kindly to the new yankee teams trying to move the ACC tourney to NY. Those yankees come in and just want to run the whole show now.

Jeff Goodman @goodmanespn 8m
Some thought the ACC was going to be so powerful this season. Can easily make case its been 4th-best league thus far. Expand
Jon Rothstein @jonrothstein 12m
Many thought the ACC was the best conference in the history of the sport. Now it's just a league that will get 5, maybe 6 bids in 2014.

Good for A10 - poke your finger in the ACC's face and get a piece for yourselves...

We really need to cherry pick a team or two from the A-10 lest we battle with them for supremacy going forward. I still believe we have stronger marquee names but letting them get a stronger foothold won't help us.

Duke, UNC, and Cuse it doesn't get bigger than that.

Seems dmac80 is referring to stronger marquee names than the A-10... but he can speak for himself

Thank you for pointing out the error of my reading of his statement.
Your statement of Duke, Cuse, UNC as marquee names greater than the new Big East members is of course valid.

Absolutely NOT broncobill - not now and probobaly never, ever, ever... we are and will always be a second or third fiddle new BE to the ACC - after all they have it all including football.
BUT KY is bigger, no?
