As horrific as the free throw shooting and close out was, this was a wire to wire road victory against a decent SJU team... many more positives than negatives to take from this one while Ed and the staff show them tape of what to fix. And all this with Rodney a non factor due to foul trouble. This is about as stress free as it gets this time of year folks.

So ask me if they win if Rodney gets 4pts/3 boards? My answer is of course No. This has been a very strange last few weeks and at this point I think I'd rather be lucky (the Creighton pg thing) than good. A BE first round win should complete things nicely and there should be a stress free selection Sunday coming up.
*In pre-season thread somewhere here I said they could go .500 if they go injury-free at the key positions. Since I didn't really believe either would happen, I never believed a Big East .500+ record possible. Unreal.

I guess they led by a point 2 min in or so..can't ask for anything less stress free than playing the entire game with a 10 pluS point lead. Yeah the ending was awful but did u actually think SJU would threaten there? I never did.

You must be a normally calm person Dmac ..slow heartbeat like an elephant? I admire guys who keep an evil keel during a Friar game...I am literally maniacal.
Were yo that calm when our Pats were down a hundred with 4 mins to go in 3rd quarter?

How calm was the guy sitting with him in the living room watching this game today? Mostly calm but he was giving me play by play updates from your texts... I used to to be much less calm but 1), there was less pressure this season due to "rebuilding year" expectations and 2), Cooley has a history of having his squad play their best in late Feb early March....just a marvelous job of showing up for games that we needed when Friar squads of the two eras before him did not. Like any must win or big game was a guaranteed loss. Now it seems we win them far more often than not. That said I want and hope for Cooley to take it to the next level and make some noise in the big dance.

Were yo that calm when our Pats were down a hundred with 4 mins to go in 3rd quarter? Yes because I had given up. I didn't think there was any chance to come back from that large of a deficit.......But when Hightower got the turnover for the short field, down 28-12 I thought we'd get back in, and once it was 28-20 I felt good and was proud of them...........Getting the ball back for the final full field drive I was very confident and then winning the coin toss for OT I knew we had it. Brady is far and away the GOAT, with no living person anywhere near his playoff records. If he stays healthy he'll hatter most reg season records too And I think he's got another SB (or two?!?!) possibly in him.....Scary.

Second half they played SJU type bball, the defense of the first half was not there in the second half as they gave up 50 points to the Johnnies in that have..
Jackson and Diallo and Holt were the key in second half...
Rodney was a no show today
Make them go to the gym from the bus tonight and take 1000 FTs

Congratulations KORE Mod friarman...you are now the most miserable poster on this pathetic board.
I had no idea you were expecting a Final 4 appearance this year
BTW connfriar was only kidding when he conjectured that we could be 15-0 going into next year.
If Thumper will have me, I will be moving my seat next year. Sitting with you and Mr Nice-Guy wtm, who never saw a player he didn't like, has shaken my nervous system to the KORE.
Sir Pastrami mikemc wants me to move Up UP And Away to section 232 with him and share the telescope he uses to watch the action.
I think the rarefied air up there has made him daffy ..ever notice how his jokes are so unfunny? I saw him at VIG a few weeks ago...he thinks people like him. It's the craziest thing.
