Indeed. Their full discussion list: Ben Howland -- The 57-year old Howland led Pittsburgh to the Sweet 16 twice in the early 2000s before being hired by UCLA in 2003. The Bruins went to three straight Final Fours under Howland before failing to advance past the Round of 32 during Howland's final four seasons. Howland has been out of coaching since being fired by UCLA following the 2012-13 season. Bobby Hurley -- The 43-year old former Duke star has been the coach at Buffalo since 2013. The Bulls are 23-9 under Hurley this year and are set to make their first NCAA tournament appearance. Gregg Marshall -- After a successful run at Winthrop, the 52-year old Marshall has led Wichita State to the NCAA tournament four straight years. The Shockers advanced to the Final Four in 2013, finished 35-1 last year and are 28-4 heading into the tournament this season. Steve Prohm -- An Alabama graduate, the 40-year old Prohm was a student assistant coach and student manager for the Tide for five seasons. Murray State is 102-27 since Prohm took over as its coach in 2011.

Marshall might view that as a downgrade.

Here we go with the Carousel...like a standing headline - so just where is the latest HOT SEAT list? Naturally, we will be following the carousel from a different perspective over on the recruiting side.... PS: Geo Mason's Paul Hewitt gets the axe...

Howland is older and was involved in some shady stuff at UCLA....
DePaul needs a someone that has good connections to Chicago talent.

Question: This would probably be a step down for LaFleur or Simon as possibilities, right? How about Blaney? The school is even in Worcester.www.telegram.com/article/20150307/NEWS/150309949/1009Matt Mahar out as Assumption men's basketball coach TELEGRAM & GAZETTE STAFF Assumption men's basketball coach Matt Mahar has resigned to pursue other opportunities, athletic director Nick Smith announced. One of the assistant coaches for Oliver Purnell at DePaul was the former head coach at Assumption. I know his face sitting on the bench with DePaul but never bothered to look up his name.
....Yeah, I spent a lot of times sitting in the stands over this lifetime....
Speaking of which....
Thankfully, for all those long standing friar diehards they get to see the Resurrection of the Providence Men's Basketball program under Coach Cooley.
I am happy for all you long suffering fans that the great times have returned for you once again. Enjoy and embrace every moment.

1. I would love to know what this means from Elijah Cain - just committed to DePaul on March 11.
2. DePaul would be wise to take an experienced coach. I think Bobby Hurley would be terrific in terms of that youth and energy but in a way would feel like a Keno Davis move taking a guy off of his 1 year as a coach and who made the tourney.
3. I know Tom Crean has a large buyout but those whispers are starting to grow into noticeable levels...If he is ousted DePaul would be crazy not to inquire.
4. Ben...Howland...do it now.

Was my first thought too. Can't bail from DePaul and come here that's all I know. 2. I'm hoping for young and mediocre. Hey, everyone needs a doormat to wipe their feet on as they enter the chamber of excellence.

If he hasn't signed a LOI then he is fair game as a verbal recruit and not a transfer obviously.
Just a technical thought, the other big east coaches seem so committed to the conference that they likely won't screw with the kid.
