21 year old kid who spent way too many nights pub crawling then sleeping in...Bruins tired of babysitting; Chiarelli is picking up a solid starter in euro Eriksson who plays both ends + three solid prospects - one or two of whom could actually make the team this coming season. Meanwhile the Bruins are also freeing up ca$h for the free agent market.
SMART.
The core is in place and they want to make more runs at the cup NOW...

Dex, I don't blame the GM on Sequin. The entire hockey world had the kid as a top-2 pick. Now, I'll tel, you who I do get ticked at today and its Joe Haggs. The guy NOW tells us about Seguins antics during the Toronto series, showing up in the same cloths everyday, hungover etc....We hear that NOW? You're a reporter, not an historian.

I was only kidd'n on Chiarelli thus the smiley...Peter would have been fired if he did NOT take Tyler.
Wonder if Haggs will be asked tonight on tv why the cover-up?

Fair enough Jesus - I plead guilty of being a pink hat/sweater or whatever when it comes to any real knowledge about the inner workings of the Bruins/NHL. What I posted was based on comments I heard on Boston FM98.5 the Sports Hub which is also the Bruins home radio station...all from so-called 'experts'No "experts" on the radio this week. Felger is on vacation. It was pretty embarrassing listening to 5 or so minutes I heard late this afternoon. Whomever is filling in for Felger knew absolutely nothing about hockey. He wanted Eriksson to switch from his natural left wing which he has played his entire career to Right wing to replace Horton. He said "it would be an easy switch". He also thought Claude should have played Seguin at center. Anyone that watched the 8 or 9 shifts that Seguin played center this year, would cringe at the thought of Seguin playing center in Julien's system. 98.5 has some very good hockey talk when Felger is working. Haggs, Goucher, Beers, Jimmy Murphy, and Fred Toucher know their stuff. Mazz and Bertrand are pretty knowledgable. Gresh, Zo, and Toucher's partner - Rich know sh$t about the game. Granted, I only heard a few minutes today - driving to and from the beach. But, it was painful to listen to. If you're interested in learning about the Bruins prospects. Follow this guy on twitter. twitter.com/kluedeke29 The guy really knows his stuff on hockey prospects.

Wow...jesus crice you know your stuff on the B's and thanks for your input
Eriksson signed with the Red Wings I believe today.
The B's have lost around 4 + guys from this winning combo including their back-up goalie today.
Not good, but the other teams must, for the most part, be dealing with choices given the lower salary cap next year too.
Apparently, as reported tonight, the B's had to hire a guard to keep Tyler in tow at the hotels....there is a limit to tolerance in their view.
2 + 2 = 5 in this era I enjoy the sport very much, but the Friar Icemen remain No. 1

Jarome Iginla is a Bruin...again. This time it's official. He will fit nicely on the top line with Krejci and Lucic. Bergy, Marchand, and Eriksson on 2nd line. Top 6 is as good as it gets in hockey.
Iginla's style fits the Bruins perfectly.

Good stuff Jesus...obviously I wouldn't know a hockey expert from a 5 hole nor would I ever know enough to question left wing from right wing nor Seguin playing at center.
What I do know is that the recent success of the Bruins has sure drawn a lot of casual fans in just like me, thoroughly enjoying the action in the playoffs. So this Iginla is the guy who went to the Penguins but is now a Bruin for at least next season?
From the new info you have since added it sounds like the pursuit of the Stanley Cup is on the right track and once again, the casual fans can climb aboard come playoff time next season.

As KPD wrote of the Sequin trade, one more year like this one for Tyler and his contract would have been a huge albatross. You'd be stuck with the guy for two more years and the likelihood he'd evolve or mature would be near zero. Therefore, the prospect haul in the trade is kind of absent the point to me but the Morrow kid adds depth where you already have depth and that positions you well for future moves. Sequin another case perhaps of young players not getting it being amplified by Hernandez? Maybe so. I like the move. Not sure that automatically qualifies me as a pink hat but there you have it.
(More piling on at the risk of name dropping: I spend time yesterday with an NHL scout who loved Sequins talent and said he'd never, ever want the kid. Told lots of story's, made lots of really harsh comments (labels) about him the kid. FWIW)

Love Felger's take that Sequin didn't get traded, "he got fired". That about sums it up, I suppose.
