I saw that yesterday and Felger went on to say that the kid should be embarrassed to get chit-canned but instead he threw a lavish party to celebrate his firing.
This trade looks better every day.
I can see where some could question managements inability or lack of mentoring. I would also suspect that a teammate or two sat him down for a heart to heart. You can tell a guy that the stove is hot....but some guys just have to touch it anyway and learn the hard way.

It is strange that less than a year ago, Chia/Neely didn't seem to have a problem with Seguin's lifestyle when they rewarded him with the 36 million dollar deal. They knew a year ago, that Seguin would never go into the corners a là Wayne Cashman. Nor would he rush the net like Neely. They knew exactly what he was when they drafted and signed him. He's a dangler. Very similar in style to Marion Gaborik (who got booted out of New York by Tortorella) and Kessel. I have no problem with the Bruins trading Seguin. However, why did the Bruins rush to resign him a year before he hit restricted free agency?

Why do you assume FD that it is Neely and the Bruins that took a sharp left turn on Sequin in the last 12 months and not something, heavens forbid, that the kid himself did to change their value of him over the last 12 months? I say this is on Tyler, not Neely. They obviously locked him up last year becuase they saw something worth latching onto and then a mere year later they dumped him becuase they were dumb then, smart now or visa versa? Or did something happen with the kid? That's where my money lies. Or did the Aaron Hernandez plague infect the Bruins view of things? Either way, its fun stuff for fans to consider.
