As good as he is, Carter alone can't beat any Big East team, especially UConn.
Oduro had been good all year but this may have been his worst performance and too bad it was on senior night. Gaines was also a no show unfortunately.
Maybe Pierre is still sick but since his very good performance at Xavier he has struggled terribly. I thought he had a chance to be a good point guard but now have serious doubts.
Dual has not been great but we are so thin we can't be without anyone especially against a quality team.
Hopefully Kim and the staff reload the roster through the portal because even very good freshman aren't likely to help all that much.

1/3 we lose Hopkins….despite the injury …
If we have any other Starting PG in the Big East outside of DePaul’s, we dance. Armstrong only possible exception.
Killed us
Posh Epps Richmond Jenkins Newton Ashworth McKnight Kolek
Kim needs to pick Pierre or Dual and then bring in a Veteran

If we return the current roster and land santon, we are a bottom three BE team next year. It ain't brizzing with nil in play. Aren’t a bunch of BE teams losing a ton of their top players? Yes.nova loses a lot (Moore,Dixon,Burton,Hart, possibly Bamba..)

nobody is losing more than we are and it doesn't matter with the portal
quick scan of BE stats shows a lot leaving (actually the conference could be pretty bad next year). Uconn/marq/creighton have quality coming back (not sure about Kalk)

The number of transfers we need for next year grows by the day. I was at 4 earlier today, might say 5 now
Think Hop is back and Garwey is gone
Kim constantly references immaturity in his press conferences, that’s exactly why you can’t give college players too much offensive freedom.

I gained some respect for Danny H the way he spoke to the Friar players on the handshake line. Good sportsmanship having encouraging words to opposing teams players and to Bryce Hopkins. Good showing Danny. You are so wrong dad. Were you at the game? I got into it with two different sets of 10 or more UCant fans at the end of the game. I tried to tell them Hurley was the most classless coach playing at the Dunk/AMP over the years and tonight it was so embarassing. My words to those fans were that they have a great team and certainly deserved to win but you do not keep your starters in, leading by 26, until 1:34 left in the game. The court was slippery and these defending National Champs could have lost a couple of starters to injury in a game they already won. My point to those UCant fans was that Hurley potentially could have hurt or ruined his postseason chances to go far. And that was incredibly stupid. I could not believe it nor could I understand it. But then my buddy heard Joe Hassett say on the postgame that Hurley left his starters in because he was trying to get back at PC. It seems that Danny boy had never beaten the Friars on the road at the Dunk/AMP( not with Wagner, URI or UCant). And so he jeopardized his players to take personal vengence on PC. And oh, pcdad, according to Joe H, Danny had words with the fans behind the bench. He told them the Friars had kissed his azz tonight, putting his fingers to his lips. Oh yeah Danny, you had a good showing tonight??? Danny just confirmed he is a little man with a little brain. I'm too old to be taking on groups of fans. My heart isn't the best. But sometimes you just have to stand up and call out the idiot in the crowd. PIZZA,SODA,GRINDERS!!!

Coren on the other board said it was the most bizarre classless thing he has ever seen by an opposing coach at the end of the game with Hurley taunting and going at it with fans in the stands. Danny was yelling I have more championships than you, I just kicked your ass, etc.
But then he is in the post game presser complimenting PC as an NCAA team, the loss of Hopkins.
Fans were congratulating Hurley on his 1st win in Providence and he went off on them saying who eff are you and started pointing at his ring yelling i have 1 more than your sorry azz.
Stay focused on your team. Guy is whacked.
....gotta love friartown...

Thank you for your first hand observations and thoughts about Danny H, his actions, his motivation and his behavior on the side lines as well as the UConn fans behavior who were sitting nearby you.
No I wasn’t in attendance. I am home fighting off a virus. Nor will not be in attendance at MSG on Wednesday either as I have a prior commitment volunteering that day. Though I have watched Danny Hurley since he played at Seton Hall and I attended a HS game that his father coached and Danny’s behavior was learned at his father’s knee.
I have watched every Friar game this season but the opening game.
I am sorry that you felt it necessary to call out Danny H and also that you argued with a group of UConn fans in attendance. From your reporting I stand corrected as appearances on television are not the same as attendance at the game.
