Friars stood little chance tonight going in. Carter came out as awesome as he is. UConn started showing who they are. Ref called Oduro's 2nd foul with a whistle that happened before contact occurred. Oduro goes to bench for a couple minutes, and any chance of Friars making a game of it disappeared. One lame call assured full destruction eight minutes into the game. That was messed up.

Carter threw a couple away too and went 1 for 3 his only time to the FT line 1st half.
Don't get me wrong...he and Oduro are the team this year in the end, and I've loved watching them!

Forget depth we don't have BE players. Everyone other than carter and Oduro would be 10th man on a tournament team.

I liked your post, but I also like our "returning players" and hate the idea of "brizzing?" any. PC asked them to be Friars, and they are.
Coach em up...they have plenty of potential, as do our new recruits and returners from injuries, to make their way to a tournament bid and win when there next year.
Edit adding: I'd think this board would be encouraged by the success of the coaches and players the school has so newly recruited and would be proud of where things are. I certainly am.

I gained some respect for Danny H the way he spoke to the Friar players on the handshake line. Good sportsmanship having encouraging words to opposing teams players and to Bryce Hopkins. Good showing Danny.

Hated him from the start because I was supposed to, but he is a great coach and I don't have another reason to hate him aside from him getting the better of the refs so often.

If we return the current roster and land santon, we are a bottom three BE team next year. It ain't brizzing with nil in play.

What made the success of most any of the best Friar squads come tournament time? A team that played together first, certainly with some NBA talent.
