I actually 100% agree with Mick's comment. Drew and MAL were terrific young men and represented this school well, I don't think we need to talk about this being exciting when our highest rated recruit since Dunn has to leave after 2 years because he never developed. One of my biggest criticisms of Cooley was the way he yo-yo'ed MAL's time this year. He definitely got a shorter leash than some other guards and it clearly hurt his confidence. MAL was not a good fit in our system and that definitely cuts both ways, probably more so to the coach.

Do you like this acquisition Doc? Be mindful he had some hammy thingy last year and who knows if he has agreed to a flu shot in the Fall? And another thing...did this little guy ever have chicken pox? There is lots we just don't know yet. I do like the Pipkins acquisition. In need of guys who can handle and put it in the basket. He can do both. If he can find a 3-point % half way between his sophomore and junior years that will really help. As for the Flu Shot, influenza (which doesn’t cause stomach issues) has never been the issue. It’s been the mythical “stomach flu”, which actually doesn’t exist. In any event, I think an undersized, underrecruited South Side kid will attempt to play through a belly ache, much like our friend from Compton did.
