Get Well Coach Hurley recuperating UConn basketball coach Dan Hurley had surgery on Friday to relieve pain in his neck and upper back. School officials say doctors successfully performed the surgery at the Center for Comprehensive Spine Care in New York. Hurley is expected to be released from the hospital within the next few days, then recuperate at home. UConn officials say Hurley is not expected to miss the Sept. 28 start of the Huskies' practices. Hurley, the former URI coach, is entering his second season at UConn. I wish him a speedy recovery. Perhaps this explains why he has been a pain in the azz since Day 1. PIZZA, SODA, GRINDERS!!!

Swung and missed at an NBA gig. I guess Cooley did the opposite with the pistons(allegedly). Will take him maybe 30 seconds to find a college gig if he wants it.
I remember one of my hs coaching friends raving about him when he was canisius.
