Can't think of a hotter mid-major coach out there, at least pre-dance. Kermit Davis of Middle Tennessee is a good target too as he probably heads to his 3rd straight tourney, as does Nate Oats of Buffalo.

Hurley won't leave for Pitt. He has a chance to put URI up where VCU and Dayton used to be as perennial contenders for the A10 Championship.
It will take a better program than Pitt to make the offer and I am betting that someone will.

Says he makes around 1 mil now....looks like Pitt keeps the coaches salary unpublished I couldnt find it. How did that program tank so bad? Kind of disappointing to see all the former BE schools doing so poorly in the ACC. edit: looks like their old coach Dixon was making around 3M. Thats triple what Danny makes at little rhody

I wouldn't be so sure First and foremost it's in the ACC secondly it's in an area where Dan will have no problem plucking talent and lastly doesn't Pitt have big $$$$ ?? I mean if they come at him with 8 years 20 million how can we be so sure??

Pitt: I guess that 1 fg half was too much to overcome...
My ucon guy...says they move on Hurley. But it's an obvious name (so who knows) and I'm thinking their conference problem hurts them no matter what the money.

Watching some of the games today, I was thinking Mick Cronin may be in line for a bigger job.

Mick Cronin: the people at UL want him and they think he would accept. However, the UL Adm don't like his association with Pitino so it doesn't look likely.
