CCA should compensate SHU for additional travel expenses, if any. Rather shrewd how season ticket holders get compensated only if they re-up for next year. In regards to refunds I think they will be better off working with the Dunk for some concessions coupons/discounts. Like give every season ticket holder a voucher that equals about $20 in food. Probably easier that way and this way the Dunk eats some of the mistake.

The Dunk people met early this a.m. and decided to turn the air on then. Air was on all day. Has to be a "covering the ice" problem. PIZZA, SODA, GRINDERS!!! Not saying u are lying Thump but what proof do we have the AC was on all day?? They know they have to say that to cover their arse. I'm willing to bet the AC didn't get turned on into well into the afternoon early evening. And if it did then what does that tell us?? It says we need a new and upgraded cooling system right?? It's not rocket science I know people who met that morning. A classmate told me that his offspring was at the meeting and the air was turned on. Believe what you want. PIZZA, SODA, GRINDERS!!!

That reads like 35K for the entire season...which is what Gene V. on WPRO went with this morning on his radio show. I would find it hard to believe 35K for all 18 games. According to KMac it’s 35k per game. Although BostonFriar says it’s 50k. Personally, I’ll believe Kmac’s source. $35k per game plus the $2.00 per ticket "surcharge" is $50k. The surchare. On your season ticket bill there isn't $2.00 you send time the CCA, it comes from PC revenue. Of more importance IMO is the general approach taken....$200m endowement etc. If PC tried to build its own venue past experience days Providence would throw up every roadblock in the world The college injects lots of money into the city and state . Students spend money, lots if construction money, payments in lieu of taxes etc Please recall all the crap that was said about PC when the Reno was being discussed....now the Don't was really a dump in those days. We can't even get a permit to sell beer at Schneider...years worth of effort. The real question now is since the reno 10 years ago when will the next investment be? Too small a space to list all the roadblocks the city and government throw up against an entity that injects 10's of millions of dollars into the local economy. So the Dunc can be singled out but many, many tax incentives are given time companies where the net local benefit is questionable . BC runs a multi purpose arena with no issues as dies UMass Lowell. Water battles and sweat indeed. CCA has agreed to basically no improvements going forward in return for a long term contract and the unplayable floor is just a sub set of lack of investment. UMass Lowell makes. $70k per game on concessions for ice hockey How do I know? Billy Riley (former Lowell coaching legend) told us at the last Schneider game after he spent half an hour trying to get a hot dog. We have no options, Providence would try to block anyway so we may well drift back to playing in the Dump again.

Does the city even get any of that revenue at the Dunk? I thought it all goes to the state. I thought the only revenue the city gets is from real estate taxes.

Or maybe you get a special pass that when you order, 2 people actually work on your order instead of the usual one who moves in slow motion.....

Worst run building of it's kind in all of the world.
Yeah you heard it right...the whole friggin world. The unions have strangled it to death.
Worst bathrooms with no soap and no towels by halftime and filth everywhere by the 1st 4 minute timeout....and no attendants cleaning it or supplying it during the events. The wait? You better have a good bladder if a sellout...and they said more men's rooms when they renovated...liars
Worst concession service and food and prices in the world.
Loudest PA system in at least the civilized world.
Security and Tix scanning entering the building is very good.

It'll never happen, but I'd like to see a no-hockey facility, like the Ryan Center, on the grounds of Twin River. Providence and Bryant could both be tenants. The facility could really boost Bryant's program, as they play in something that reminds me of my high school gym. And it could be a great concert venue. Acres of free parking.

The State would crucify Twin Rivers financially for daring to compete with it. Let’s face it we are trapped in The Dunk ...a prisoner of a corrupt government that is inept but ruthless.

Went to get a hotdog BEFORE the game started (nova -an obvious sellout), waited 20 minutes behind 3 people and barely made the tip....but not before i turned in horror to the condiment area to discover not a single solitary packet of mustard. Ketchup packs overflowing from BOTH bins. I guess if you’re 5 and you like ketchup on a hotdog that’s ok. Had to walk a mile (no - as in exactly 0 - concession stands at all behind the inflatable friar end zone? ) and the other area had plenty of mustard. How “businessman” Jeremy Jacobs has made a dollar is beyond me.

I must point out that although I concur on the concessions and bathrooms at the dunk (typically the soap and or paper towels are out before the first TV timeout, or even before tip), and the urinal cake situation is in dire straights, the venue itself is awesome for watching basketball. The overall renovation did well especially the interior portion where the seats and court are at least from a sight line and aesthetic standpoint are excellent. And the lux seats look great for those fortunate enough to occupy them. I sat in $16 seats for nova that would cost $150-$200 at the garden.
