Great in the close ones, but when lose, Houston, Minnesota, Creighton, Nova, Hall, DePaul, we prefer to get buried by 15 +
Scoring droughts abound.

Tells me we are very fortunate to be 16-9 and not 12-13 or worse.

Tells me that you can't rely on his senior class to self motivate.....Cooley thought he could take his foot off the gas which is a reasonable expectation.

Saw long stretches with no seniors on the floor today... thoughts on how we look going forward?

Forward this year?.... Were buried with these guys. Healthy or not, this group has been down double digits at home a ton this year.
Next year we'll be good. Although shooting may be an issue.

Fragile team. Team does not handle adversity well at all.

Again, we are very fortunate to be 16-9.
Our best player is a 2 guard who can't shoot beyond 12 feet.
Our PG has been in out of action due to injuries and illness all season. He has no replacement, to spell him for even a couple of minutes. None.
Our small forward is an excellent spot up shooter, who can't keep the opposition honest by putting the ball on the floor, ever.
Our PF who in just 3 years is the 25th all time scorer in program history, is about the same player he has always been.
Our 2 centers can't defend the inside, at all.
Add all this up with a bench of basically Jackson and nothing else, and Ed might deserve coach of the year for getting 16 wins.
Look at the teams behind us in the standings are our Freshmen and sophomores better than Butler's, Marquette's Georgetown, DePaul or St. John's? Maybe DePaul, but I have a hard time seeing it with the others. Diallo, is up there, then we have a big drop off.

More and more I see this as a senior class that achieved success in its early years and has exhausted its motivation, it’s drive, it’s sense of urgency. Compare that to the senior class of Cotton, CD, Batts, a group that had won squat and carried a real hunger to the finish line of their career, a hunger this group seems to lack.

Perfectly reasonable that they felt they reached their peak after blowing a 17pt lead against usc. rodney heard whatever he heard from the nba scouts and realized his career is maxed out. Evidently jalen spent another summer doing things other than dribbling a basketball. They'd gotten in three times now and maybe felt that is as good as they can do. The cotton group progressed each year.

I think the run from the end of the first half thru the beginning of the second half was 35-4.

Too many of these runs where we just can't throw the ball in the ocean this season. I don't remember a Friar team, and we have had some bad ones, going thru so many offensive lulls in 1 year. Shows how much the low post option of Holt is missed. This team gives up a 10-0, run and tries to shoot its way out of it.

How many games this season has PC had the best player on the floor???
So many teams with at least 1 if not 2 better players than what PC has to put out there.
And what happened to this being EC’s deepest team since being here?
....gotta love friartown...
