How many games this season has PC had the best player on the floor??? So many teams with at least 1 if not 2 better players than what PC has to put out there. And what happened to this being EC’s deepest team since being here? ....gotta love friartown... You are onto something here. At the game yesterday, several of us were saying the same thing———PC’s talent is not up to par with that of others in the BE. Kudos to Cooley and Company to coaching them up yo Tourney bids and contention this year. Every BE team has at least one or two guys better than what the Friars can put out there. Sad but true.

And to think, the talent level under Cooley has been much better but still overall short.
....gotta love friartown...

I don't remember a Friar team, and we have had some bad ones, going thru so many offensive lulls in 1 year....jr lomomba was our starting 2 guard...get that memory checked. He played with Cotton and Henton two of our top scorers of all time . Then with Dunn and Bentil. I'm talking a team that goes through so many droughts, not a player. We played a game where Ted Bancroft played all 45 minutes at the 2 guard and Fortune played point in an overtime loss to Penn State, and didn't have a 34-5 run thrown up against us. Have MAL, White or Edwards given us any more this year than Jr. did?

For years I've read about cooleys superior eye for talent and player development. We have 3 seniors and two others who have been with the program for three years. Now we don't have the talent to keep up with the bottom of the BE.
Which is it?
Bottom line is Rodney, jalen and Kyron haven't improved a lick from last year.

Pc1971' walk, dex,
Thanks for your perspectives.
Did not see one minute of the game as I couldn't find it broadcast on my platforms.
Watched some other biig east games instead and only saw the halftime and final scores and knew something had gone completely awry.
Jalen, 'team leader', concussed, seniors, others with the flu, seem to be valid reasons for losing.
Dex, I wasn't there, didn't see a minute of this uninspiring game and effort from the Friars, but booing them...really?
If fans know the Friar's don't have the talent, "the grit"', the depth of bench to win in a sellout against a 3 and 9 big east team, then is booing is Motivating?
Somehow I don't 'hear' Creighton fans booing their team... And they have $1 beer nights. So might be excused if they demonstrated some boorish behavior.
Apples and oranges perhaps.
I don't see what booing your college team does other than perhaps let off some fan frustration.
As team recovers from the flu. (Anyone ever have the flu? ) white's knee injury, our Senior Team Leader's' concussion and those freshmen still on a learning curve, some wins may put Friar's on the bubble with a Big East tournament win or maybe 2 wins.
Granted this team could roll craps for the remainder of the season.
Absent improvement, a n NIT is in jeopardy, and if as some of you imply, there is a failure of Senior leadership or maybe ' senior fatigue' amounting to going through the motions, then Friars might consider passing on any potential NIT bid
Walk, I am sure the team appreciates your "mulligan'. Ha,ha.
I trust they pay no attention to my musings or those of us who post opinions of their play, skills, motivation, leadership qualities.
As all we fans have no physical skills, have no idea the work a college athlete puts in to develop his skills, I am confident that those Friar players ignore both our ire and our praise.
Though I eagerly look for those reflections and opinions that are posted here.
...and now I shall cease my musings, my brain droppings, . We'll return after the battle vs 'Nova...
Best to all posters, players, coaches.

Flu - if that's th case. Why are these guys with the team? Watson supposedly left the game to get sick and Rodney was sick as well. Both remained in the game with under 5 minutes and we were getting torched.

People often refer to any type of sickness with fever as the flu. Also, if indication is that Watson went to the locker room to puke, puking isn't a symptom of influenza for adults.

Watson always gets torched on defense when healthy or sick. He scores but gives up a lot more than he scores. It's the reason why in close games, we rarely see him in the second half.

In my pal Daddy-O’s absence from The Dunk, I filled in by going courtside B4 the game and observed that the rims were level but the floor was slightly beveled from north to south. I boosted up the Friar Man to the rims and with the tape measure we confirmed Ten Feet they were indeed.

Hey Doc Draif you heightened my curiosity regarding your diagnosis that Nate did not have the flu because he vomited which is NOT a symptom of the influenza.
I was raised in Providence and maintain many influential contacts from my younger days. I talked to my neighborhood pal who is a top security guy these days for the RI ConventionCenter a DH advised that Nate did not actually vomit but had dry heaves.
Just wondering if that would change your diagnosis at all?

He likely had gastroenteritis, which is often referred to as stomach flu, but it is not related to influenza which kills people and some get vaccinated for.

Thanks for covering me in my absence Glad to hear they play games fair and square and according to the rules in Rhode Island. Clean run up there unlike those NJ scoundrels at the Prudential Center. Watch your wallet when you attend the Big East tournament. Can't trust the film flam three card monte crowd around MSG. Never mind the price of a beverage at the World's Greatest Arena.
Now, I must return to my viewing the new season of Homeland. My astigmatism and macular degeneration prevent me from clearly seeing what is fact from fiction with faux CIA and Presidential story lines. Can't separate what is fake news from truth these days as you well know.
