Yeah they had that one guy the last 4 years that they would dump it off to when the shot clock would wind down and he would get something going to the basket. He graduated last year I think, forgot his name. Now most possessions end with a prayer.

If Wojo is giving Rowsey and Howard the green light it's probably because he knows those are his best options. They don't have any guys that go off the bounce. (or any guys with size) Which actually goes to another complaint that they have about Wojo (which I forgot to mention)... The roster that he recruited is missing any sense of balance. In fairness, Ellison turned pro after one season so that certainly messed up their balance.

I just now noticed that Young fouled out in 9 minutes? Was watching the game at a party so didn't notice at the time.

I just now noticed that Young fouled out in 9 minutes? Was watching the game at a party so didn't notice at the time. Watched the game on replay yesterday. Young and White gave us nothing. Everyone else contributed and played pretty well. Even MAL's five minutes were ok. Edwards DNP. I am hoping White starts to pick it up. He was playing well prior to the injury. We can use another contributing guard for the stretch run.

themick, not talking about rah-rah ML Carr towel waving "leadership". Who is making him out to be better than he is?. We have seen his strengths and weaknesses for four years now.
Seems he and KC pressured Marquette into a critical turnover at game end. Smart play. Two seniors stepping up to secure a win.
What is important to the team is that Lindsey unites them on the court, calling them to huddle, instructing teammates, explaining. Seems to me he has the respect of his teammates and that is a sign of being a team leader as a senior.
Just presenting my opinion that the seniors demonstrate leadership. (even acknowledging that Rodney has that 1000 yard stare in his wyes sometimes and KC has a hissed off look sometimes and Jalen Lindsey has that Clyde Frasier unruffled look about him most times when some KC fire-in -belly might be preferable to those fans watching his play.)
Enjoy the team's successes and suffer when they lose.
I'll miss those seniors when gone.

Speaking of Edwards, watched a Facebook video of the team ... team huddles as the game wound down, reactions immediately after the game, the walk in the tunnel after the game and Ed's postgame meeting weith the team. In all snippets his facial expressions and his general demeanor and attention spoke volumes. He was not a happy camper at not having played. Some say he might not stick around for his 5th year. Would he transfer after this year and play two years elsewhere? Keep an eye on that situation. PIZZA, SODA, GRINDERS!!@

PIZZA, SODA, GRINDERS!!@ would be stupid transferring out after this year.....that would be like biting your nose off to spite your face If he transfers this year that means he will play ZERO next year. He would be better off being a backup for one more year and then go to a mid-major and play 30+ minutes his 5th and final year of college. A kid in that position needs some good advice. Like look you're not playing in the NBA and you're probably facing a steep uphill climb just to get a decent pro contract. Best bet would be to show some loyalty to the staff and maybe get a shot in player development/coaching a few years down the road. On the flip side it's probably tough knowing you're not in the teams plans and maybe he would rather play for a lesser team and feel like he's apart of something.

schollies are renewable each year so it may not be up to him entirely and I'm not even sure he gets that sixth year automatically....add in the rumors that he was ready to play the second part of last season and he can't be happy. he may be well ahead on studies and transfer without having to sit. I think his sister played in the acc and parents are into the books.
I would've had him in at the end on sat. White wanted no part of those foul shots.

I agree on White mr Walk. So out of character for him and his brass balls....expected him to relish the moment but 1 of 4 FTs suck.
I just watched the replay and as a whole we played hard but lousy...good thing Rousey fouled out
If Marquette did Anything from the arc OR valued ball possession instead of rushed turnovers; We Lose
A mediocre bunch

White wanted no part of those foul shots. his academics have NOTHING to do with it it's an NCAA rule, if he transfers he will have to sit and essentially lose a year of eligibility Another interesting nugget I've read a few times over in the Burbs is that Holt will be taken care of by PC in regards to the course work he missed being off campus all semester. There is a poster there who has said numerous times the school takes care of students with verified medical issues. My comment to that is yes "regular" students I'm pretty sure the NCAA can't give athletes passes for uncompleted work due to medical issues. Count me in the camp worried about Holt's eligibility.

Holt is in school for second semester. He also has the option of summer session. Emmitt will be eligible academically, but the bigger question is his health.
