I did not like the slowdown offense Cooley ran for last 5 or more minutes. Trying to make something happen in last 10 seconds of the clock. Though Jackson driving to the rim worked.
I suppose all the foul calls benefitted the Friar's more than the Warriors today sending Friar's to Free throw line more often ( even with the missed f/ts it favored PC.

Hauser jumped into Jax, while passing. That was NOT a foul. White's got to hit his foul shots now. While it was a weak call 82 he did get Jacks in air. That is a call that will get called 90% of the time at home. and for the record he does bite at every pumpfake he sees.....needs to stay on his feet

Hauser had 13 point in the first half but only the 2 free-throws in the 2nd half. Not sure if we made an adjustment at the half or Marquette screwed up.
Good call from the bench ( think it was an assistant not EC since they called it after White's first miss.) on the double on Howard but luckily he didn't run into one of them and get fouled
Not sure why white got that 2nd chance on an inbound. Surprised Jackson or even Lindsey wasn't the target.

That's what I'm saying. Now, about the bush foul call on Kyron just now. He was squared up facing his opponent, and poked the ball. Not a bit of contact that I could see. worst reffed game I've seen this year, The one guy always kills us.....big guy with slicked back black hair the ref with the slicked back black hair, is wally ruetecki he called that technical on curry a while back against gtown, not sure of the year, I believe keno was our coach.

We win the 1st game against Marquette with Bullock . I missed the 2nd half but it seems like once Cooley went with the small lineup (more Jackson 26 minutes and less Watson and Young 18 minutes combined) the game started to turn. Good win!

The matchup zone was key in the second half- really shut them down for a long stretch. Could't believe we were throwing it in to White either!

Maliek White has been a bit shaky since his return.
Probably not fully mobile

I think that Gotlieb bas been decent with his commentary. He even responded to a question (presumably tweeted) from FriarTV I caught that. They kept saying that it's a must win for Marquette and FrairTV simply asked why it was more important for Marquette than for Providence. They also said that if it turned into a free throw contest -- which it pretty much did -- that Marquette would win.

Some of our resident experts wouldn't agree ... but Joe Hassett, in his post-game analysis, said Jalen Lindsey was the unsung here of this game. He said he played more minutes than any other Friar, provided very vocal instructions to his teammates throughout the game and played strong D tonight especially when he had to cover the much bigger Froling after Bullock fouled out. He also covered Hauser and Howard.
The team, and especially Cartwright, took Rowsey out of the game and held Marquette's two high-scoring guards (Rowsey and Howard averaged over 41 points coming into the game) to almost half that total (23). Diallo did a nice first-half job on Howard.
Any Big East road win is good but yesterday's was both important and exciting.
GO PC!

Joe hassett also snitches about the refs every game.....and I agree Lindsey played good defense.
Whites handle has always been shaky....put on full display yesterday.
