Joe hassett also snitches about the refs every game.....and I agree Lindsey played good defense. Whites handle has always been shaky....put on full display yesterday. Correction Walk - Joe Hassett also snitches about the refs every game LOUD ENOUGH FOR THE REFS TO HEAR.

In his post game interview, Cooley gave Jalen major props for following through on the instructions that he provided in the huddle with about 2 minutes to go. Namely, Jalen recognized the need to double up (with Cartwright) on Howard on Marquette's final possession, which led to Kyron's steal as the clock expired.

A number of posters over on the one Marquette Board have been really down on their backcourt. For the past few games, they've been complaining that Howard and Rowsey are always looking for their own shot, and would rather jack up circus shots than facilitate the offense. They equally frustrated with Wojo, and his apparent willingness to let give the two the green light

Thump, as I reported in the Seton Hall thread, Lindsey is the demonstrable leader of the team ,vocally and with his play. The 0-fer for both Lindsey a new KC largely attributable to the defensive play of SHU giving Lindsey little room to shoot or to even receive the ball from teammates. There was a reason Alpha was able to score as he had more opportunity and also took it upon himself to score in the absence of KC and Lindsey' s ability to score on Wed night. Credit SHU 'd D for some missed shots and the even an air ball .

Dad - they are allowed to play defense. As for the defense on jalen freeing up alpha, I'm at a loss for words. Alpha is willing to pay through contact and take the ball to the basket. He's our best player.
I just turned on the nova game. Within 20 secs bridges cuts to the hoop for an and 1. Jimmy Jackson says...instead of hanging out at the three point line bridges cuts to the basket for a layup. Our " leader" did not take a shot the entire second half. we won b/c alpha and Jax were aggressive and got to the line.

My eyes were backed up by Joe Hassett and Ed. BTW, Jalen did take a shot in the second half. PIZZA, SODA, GRINDERS!!!

Good points walk. Love Alpha's offensive aggression and especially his scoring off misses. Glad you acknowledge The much maligned Jackson's contributions. Both Alpha and Jackson have moxie and "grit" needed. I agree that Alpha has become Friar's best player as he does it all, Quickly becoming the go to guy.
I think you need to watch, observe all that Lindsey does during the game. He is not just camped out for a three, though clearly his strength and obviously a called and practiced play for Friar's.
We KNOW Lindsey won't/can't/ doesn't have ability or confidence to dribble drive
Sanongo was all over Lindsey in SHU game. He is the vocal leader of the team. he evidently has the respect of his teammates.

Hit open 3s and play defense. If a defender completely takes him out of his game like Sanongo did, we are supposed to be impressed that he's a vocal leader? Why do we always try to make someone out to be better than they are? I'll take Alpha/Jax/White all day long.

Not since Jack Benny has a man demonstrated such dry humor
My sides are splitting....can't wait for Walk's "The Lindsey File" after the Hoyas game.

If you'll take Jax and White "all day long" over Lindsey (as their careers have proved so far) you know as little about basketball as I thought you might. You may rue that quote. The roster that he recruited is missing any sense of balance.
