I got to think Cartwright has the flu. All facets of his game were off. Drew Edwards even outscored him. Lindsey never got off the bus. Alpha---keeps getting better on the scoring end. But he has to control the cheap fouls Tell u one thing baby If Alpha isn't shooting a MINIMUM of 500 threes per day from April 1st until October 1st not only is he fool but he also doesn't really want to be an NBA player. Unstoppable if he adds that to his repertoire He has a really nice game. Any chance he makes an All Big East team this year? He has really played well during conference play.

Unless Alpha has his heart set on being an Insurance salesman, I would agree with Nut. Hey but insurance sells Dex..

Missing free throws all year tells u all u need to know about this team. I never played organized ball in my life, play basketball 10x a year and the other day I hit 13 in a a row. Can hit them with my eyes closed. It's always been puzzling why d-1 players and pros can suck at them so bad And you were a D-1 head coach and an assistant coach for 16 years yet never played organized ball in your life? PIZZA, SODA, GRINDERS!!! No, I'm sorry thump I forgot to say I was just joking in that thread. Never coached a day in my life but that doesn't change the fact that Cartwright was held out to long at Nova ๐ And fwiw I will still beat u one on one. What do u call two Latinos playing basketball against each other?? Juan on Juan Lol!!

But in the day ...! On another point, I'm curious of your posting history on this board. You registered on Jan 1 of this year and have 192 posts in 31 days (that is 6.19 posts per day, for you statisticians). Out of nowhere. Yet you do have more than a passing knowledge of Friar basketball. * So, your history is one of either one of several scenarios ... 1) you were incarcerated prior to Jan. 1 2) you are a refugee from 247sports 3) you were in a coma, and fortunately, came out of it 4) you are a reincarnated poster (looking for a new identity) 5) you are a troll 6) you are friard Which is it? Maybe I'll set up a poll. BTW, Cartwright wasn't held out long enough in last night's game. * Note: had my stats right originally, then I thought I was wrong, then I realized the change was wrong. Duh. No statistician here. PIZZA, SODA, GRINDERS!!!

Walk - I was teetering between resignation and a final attempt at optimism. We were SO cold across the board (with the exception of Alpha), that I was attempting to channel the wild-a$$ notion that there was still time for a sudden surge by a group of upperclassman who decided it was time to man up and play. That attempt at being positive was dashed over the next 30 seconds or so, as (if I recall correctly) as SHU made a couple of free throws, and followed it up with a 3 (with a missed shot by PC tucked in between).

I didn't see the game but I did see the box score. Did two of our senior leaders really play 60 minutes and miss every shot they took and go scoreless for the entire game? Yikes.

Not sure we have senior leaders Rock..that's part of the problem.
Not sure Cartwright did anything right last night. Jimmy Jackson even pointed out that on a fast break layup (that he had blocked from behind) he switched to the left side of the hoop, favoring his strong hand when the easy lay in was a right hand lay-in.
Lindsey wasn't even close last night from a shooting standpoint. I think his 1st 3 were all long off the rim. His defense was just as bad.
Bullock was largely a no show, only took 7 shots in 28 minutes. White managed to jack up 6 in 12 minutes. White did hit his 1st 3 pointer, then missed the next 3, badly.
We lose that game by 40 without Alpha.

Too many days off in between games.. ....gotta love friartown... Too many days off for those seniors... So now they go into Bradley Center to face the Golden Eagles a team that has lost 2 straight at home... Which losing streak stops on Saturday...sorry but I don't see the Friars losing streak stopping....maybe I will be wrong or it will be an early afternoon getting ready for Sunday's Pats/Eagles SB.
