Unless depaul takes down x, we needed a marq loss last night.
Dmac - its not as if you cant be passed by a team behind you. Us beating depaul and sj does nothing for our resume and teams behind us can improve their #s.

Lunardi knows...has us as an 11 seed vs Iowa State right now.
That is NOW - what are the scenarios for winning Saturday?
Any potential change?

Moved from last four in to last four byes. While others can pass us we can also pass other teams that either lose a game they shouldn't or don't take advantage of opportunities for resume building wins.

Win Saturday on the road and we are IN
Game, Set and Match
Lose Saturday and we are OUT and the naysayers WIN
Just too bad to lose to those wild maniacs Johnnies...oozing talent and no discipline whatsoever
they will be loose as a goose
Not saying which way I lean until my pick at Pickem...I will say that I have already made up my mind
The question is...has #neverthumper made up his mind?

"A mind is a terrible thing to waste"
Methinks the current dex/thumper pickem' debacle confirms that sage hominid utterance...

I think it is too early to declare definitively one way or another if winning on Saturday is enough. If all of the bubble teams from 1 or 2 bid leagues win their conference tourneys, it probably will be sufficient. We also have to see what teams from the major conferences do in their respective conference tournaments. What I can say is that if we win on Saturday and again on Thursday, we are definitely in and hopefully quite comfortably.
Here is a look at some of the leagues we should be watching closely:
Atlantic 10- Our best case scenario is URI and VCU go down early while Dayton wins it all. More realistically, a Dayton-VCU title game would be fine.
American- We want Houston to go down early and Cincinnati to play SMU for the title.
Conference USA- I have no idea if Middle Tennessee would get an at large or not, so hopefully they win the auto bid.
Missouri Valley- This gets underway today and concludes on Sunday. I think Wichita St. is in a much better position thanks to their absurdly high ranking in metrics like Ken Pom than Illinois St. The best case scenario is Wichita wins it all and Illinois St. gets upset tomorrow or Saturday. Both teams have feasted on lousy competition and have just 2 top 100 wins, and only 1 each outside of their spit of the season series.
Sun Belt- UT Arlington is in the same boat as Middle Tennessee except they have a road win at St. Mary's.
Mountain West- I really think Nevada is quite a long shot, but just as well let's hope they win.
West Coast- Gonzaga and St. Mary's are far and away the 2 best teams, so as long as one of them wins, we are fine. I know Gonzaga just lost to BYU, but that was their only loss all year, and St. Mary's was undefeated in conference against everyone except the Zags. It would be a huge surprise if someone else wins this one.
MAAC and America East- I seriously doubt either Monmouth or Vermont gets an at large bid, but we especially want Vermont to win since their RPI is presently 50. Conversely, Monmouth is just inside the top 50 and Syracuse beat them. It would be nice to see them go down early and deprive Syracuse of a top 50 win. The MAAC tourney is being held in Albany and Monmouth could play Siena (host team) on Sunday. This event always draws well in Albany, and I bet there will be around 10k Siena fans in the house if that match up comes to fruition. Monmouth could easily lose that one.

I went to the MAAC tourney when Kofane was playing at Monmouth. When Sienna plays the crowd is 2x the size it is for every other game.
