Regarding the 8 preferable guys comment...you realize this list doesn't have any seniors or international players... Of seniors, you figure Hield, Valentine, Prince are definitely first rounders, I think?

I would add Brice Johnson to that list. And maybe Levert.

Unfortunately all of this draft speculation is all over the place. Combine that with the honesty of the teams, it must be very difficult to arrive at an informed decision.

If he's a first round selection, it's a no brainier for him to go pro. This is what comes from having a good program. You lose players to the league. It's SOP.

I think if Ben does measure big, he stays in the draft and will be picked somewhere between 11-20. Given his skill set, he would be an ideal stretch 4 at the next level.
If he measures small, the decision is hard. He probably would be a second round pick and would need to improve his perimeter game to get into the first round in 2017. However, PC is still lacking in size and Ben would have a hard time showcasing those skills because he would be forced to play the 5. The only way around that is to sacrifice what is best for the team (having Ben play on the interior and guard other big men) versus what is best for Ben (playing more on the perimeter and guarding wings). Gomes faced a similar predicament when he chose to come back in 2005, and it puts both the player and team in an awkward spot.

Speaking from personal observation, Ben is quite tall much like Henton was small so...
If he is told he will be a first rounder then he will go and should...actually thinking he will be leaving us.

guess I'm not seeing the measurements having as much of an impact as most. Those ain't going to change and he could easily see this as his best opportunity. Remember dunn also had some quotes about this being a tough year. Measurements aren't going to change, but we don't really know what they are for real. That's why it's important.

My guess is he's 6'8.5 in shoes and has a wingspan of 6'9.

Think Mike has it about right draif and yes, Dunn is no inflated shrimp either. Simply giving a personal observation in that he is a big guy - some guys may be 'tall' but not very 'big' - the impression when standing in front of Ben and talking to him is tall and big...
He is shaping up as a borderline pick, ( most likely second round), yet my gut tells me he goes...
If he should he come back it would be a surprise to this Friar. Guessing PC is offering similar insurance protection they provided Dunn.
Bentil is a self-confident, serious and focused person. He is also a decent student, majoring in Business Management. His emergence last season was dramatic but no surprise to him as he considered himself the best player on the team...

You may be correct but thank goodness he saw the ink Dunn got by coming back. Now, Dunn hinted that last season was challenging but I think that partially due to defenses focusing on him due to our lousy shooting and thin roster. If Ben comes back, he will return to a deeper roster with more weapons. He will also return to a conference with the reigning National Champion, a national television network in expansion mode and a revitalized coaching staff.
Throw in another year of an education and development as a player and he has plenty of reasons to return.
But, still...I hear you.
