The whole VCU love affair is tied to Shaka...he leaves they go back to previous status... Like Uconn did with Ollie? that's a bold statement......as long he builds the right foundation there I think they could sustain the success besides he aint going nowhere......they just locked him up AFTER he turned down UCLA was it?

i could see vcu making it through a shaka departure ok....the main thing preventing them from joining will be the fact that gtown wants richmond...doesn't necessarily mean richmond's getting in...but they're the school from that area if there is one...

Hey fair enough, guess I stand corrected diehard and a tip of the cap to draif regarding Capel and Grant but still...IMO, VCU is Shaka. Not sure the BE will expand unless it is an understanding already set up with FOX and that could be so...do tend to agree with walk though - IF expand to that area, think Georgetown's influence will be huge on who it is who gets the invite.

Shaka is definitely the main reason for VCU's success and the reason why many want them in the BE but FWIW I think it's well documented that he isn't going anywhere soon. And by the time he does leave, VCU could be well cemented in the high major world.
