Why are we bothering playing in this? Well, it is a chance to prove the NCAA wrong in their decision making.

Because there are guys who want to get minutes on a basketball court in a post-season tournament I'd guess. I'd want to if I wasn't a disappointed top player heading to some kind of pro play. And playing experience can be gained on the court, not watching games on TV.

Ticket and Oduro getting playing experience won't help us going forward. I am guessing Slim is gone. So we are playing the game for Pierre, Dual and Floyd? Shut it down.

Jim Calhoun first brought the program in Storrs to prominence by winning the NIT.

Friars were at their very best when it was the NIT decades ago.

I wasn't for it. What does sending out an weakened five do for anybody? Saying you played in a post-season tourny isn't important. They should have ended the season with the (3g) BE. And if you get by BC -which I doubt- you get undermanned contest #2 the weekend at Princeton.

Don't know this. But, I'd bet the players were asked, and a decision included their vote.

Working the portal would be a much better use of the staffs time.

I knew Carter was probably a no but why play in the tournament with Barron out as well. We are down to 6 scholarship players unless they throw out Santoro again, completely costing him the redshirt. PIZZA, SODA, GRINDERS!!! Santoro cannot redshirt. He played last week

Barron being out saps my enthusiasm. He was playing so well down the stretch, wanted to see him in a bigger role without Carter

NIT PayoutIn addition to travel, lodging and meals, the payout is $4,000 per team. How much does it cost to rent the AMP?

PIZZA, SODA, GRINDERS!!! Santoro cannot redshirt. He played last week I thought that was the case but heard no confirmation. So Santoro might be playing for some portal attention! PIZZA, SODA, GRINDERS!!!

Working the portal would be a much better use of the staffs time. Staff certainly is big enough. We are past the days of Gavitt, Whalen and O'Connor!
