Zero chance that PC with a first year coach turns down an invite to the NIT. O.00%

Not the right time for PC to turn this down..not with a new coach building his career here.

If it's no Carter and no Oduro, hard pass...even the financial payout per team is not worth it.

Does that change your stance? I would lose a lot of respect for any player who chose not to play in NIT. What would be the reason? If we made the NCAA I assume they would play so no reason not to play in NIT.

Carter is a potential 1st round pick in the NBA draft...no reason for him to risk an injury.

I hope they decline. It would be borderline criminal for Carter to play in a meaningless tournament and subject himself to an injury that would jeopardize his NBA future. Move onto the offseason, and get to work on recruiting in the transfer portal to surround Bryce with a quality supporting cast.

Why wouldn’t Oduro play? Carter 100% shouldn’t play. I’m guessing the coaches would tell him that he shouldn’t.

If Kim allowed Devin to play in the NIT I would be amazed and disappointed unless he’s coming back to PC.
Additionally I would feel the same about his Dad if he didn’t argue against such stupidity unless he’s coming back to pC

Carter is a potential 1st round pick in the NBA draft...no reason for him to risk an injury. A lot of top line college football players skipped bowl games, so the precedent has been set.

There’s nuttin new…many teams have refused over the years as the NIT became LESS popular.
People need to understand that cbb is very very much a business now. PCMBB and for example the Carter Family have flesh and blood assets and they have every right and actually a duty to preserve them as they see fit.

But judging things as a business, how much $$$ would PC add to their coffers by playing in the NIT?
