So because we don’t make the NCAA we take our ball and go home like cry babies? Guess I’m different.

Dex mentioned in the other thread that if NIT, we might play without Carter and perhaps Oduro. Does that change your stance? I would lose a lot of respect for any player who chose not to play in NIT. What would be the reason? If we made the NCAA I assume they would play so no reason not to play in NIT. Carter has to think about possibly getting injured. There's a risk involved. Plus players headed to the draft want to do special preparations and workouts. PIZZA, SODA, GRINDERS!!!

NIT PayoutIn addition to travel, lodging and meals, the payout is $4,000 per team. If you play at home do you get a % of the gate as well?

Then the logical course of action is to let the players vote. If we have enough to field a team then go. No voters stay home.

Info, if the players voted tonight I believe that we wouldn't be able to field a team...

So he wouldn’t worry about getting hurt if we played in NCAA tournament? Poor excuse to me but that’s me. If an athlete is worried about injury they get insurance. That’s what I’ve seen players do in the past. He plays injured all the time for crying out loud. I’m done on the subject but I disagree with his decision.

From the school's standpoint, it's not about a player's insurance...it is VERY important for us to have a 1st-round draft pick, as it impacts recruiting.

The NIT semis and final I think are at Finkle Fieldhouse this year , not MSG so that’s not a very enticing offer to begin with
