Season starts in about 10 days with Syracuse. Roster has been updated from a few weeks ago. Missing highly rated freshman Pearse O'Brien is now on the roster. Also, returning sophomore Jayden Perryman is now listed (wasn't before). And in the "we hardly knew you...." Transfer Joseph Thongsythavong, who scored a lot of goals at Norwich - is now off the roster. College soccer rosters are truly a moving target until the season starts.... friars.com/sports/mens-soccer/roster

Major change at Bryant may have triggered some things with the Friars. In any case this will not look like a PC team. Do they need a third AC, IDK?
As for Bryant they have arrived at America East and based on what things look like they will not be out of place against league powers UVM and UNH.They got games with the other two RI state schools but not against PC (I don't remember them ever playing). That's good as far as I'm concerned. Luis Garcia ABE coming off '22 is a joke. They must have been thinking of '21.
The long bus trip to Syra should be a tough one and I'm, less concerned about about the opening game, than rushing back to the first @home against Merrimack (Sunday week).

Season starts tomorrow, and couldn't really be any tougher - road game at #1 ranked Syracuse.

Nice evening 3/4 moon, for late arriving SRO crowd. Saw a tightly played 2-0 W over Merrimack. A team that played BC in Newton tough a few days ago, in losing there 1-0. Prov were close to going 2-0 in 1st half but hit a crossbar to miss a great chance. Mmk had a very good Fr/MF from Swe. Have another strong opp coming up Fri in Hofstra. Of the many newcomers, I liked Back Nathan Messer (DC,W&M grad) the best.
*Players I saw in stands:Castro,McNair, Pierre, Santoro,Ticket ,Barron *Female runners weren't there, after being a regular presence last season? *Staff seemed very inter.(local?) in thin guy, 5'11 (visit?) they had on field pregame. *Surprised Shanley Dorm looked fully operational and other than no landscaping and a few bulldozers in front it looked good. Campus looks like a different place, which it is!

Glad for the win a good crowd...Campus does look so much different and with Fennell knocked down it will again when the new Nursing School goes up. They still need to keep purchasing more land around the campus... were able to add more parking behind Schneider due to land purchases.
