vanderbilt.247sports.com/Article/Vanderbilt-pursuing-Providence-transfer-Ryan-Fazekas-52313294Vanderbilt hosted Notre Dame sophomore forward Matt Ryan last weekend and have set up official visit plans to with Michigan graduate transfer Mark Donnal. Another player that has started to emerge on the Commodores radar is Providence sophomore wing Ryan Fazekas. The 6-8, 215-pound Indiana native announced his transfer plans a few weeks ago and many within the Hoosier state speculated Vanderbilt as a possible contender as Drew and lead recruiter Roger Powell Jr. heavily recruited Fazekas' while at Valparaiso. The Crusaders as well as Fordham and a few others are among the programs interested in Fazekas and it appears as though the skilled shooter will make a trip to Nashville soon to check out the program.

Close to home and at a level where he should get PT and an opportunity to enjoy a solid couple of years.

A mid-major Midwestern School is the right fit for him. I fully expect him to thrive there. Good luck Zeke!!

I wasn't speaking of what's best from a basketball perspective. But I'm sure he will be happy and that is ultimately what matters.
Zeke will likely make most of his living off the basketball court. But I have no idea what he wants to do post-basketball so the school he attends might not be significant in his field of choice.

www.valpotorch.com/sports/article_1615c17c-2bd7-11e7-b8f5-bfb26cd355da.htmlLottich nabs key Providence transfer Posted: Friday, April 28, 2017 12:54 am | Updated: 12:57 am, Fri Apr 28, 2017. It’s officially the post-Alec Peters era for Valparaiso basketball, and everyone is interested to see how the program will handle the loss of the NBA prospect. Crusader fans were happy to find out this past weekend that a certain 6-foot-8 forward known around the area has decided to transfer to Valparaiso. Ryan Fazekas, a sophomore for Providence, announced Sunday on Twitter his plans to transfer. He will sit out one season, per transfer regulations, and then play two for the Crusaders. Fazekas, who lived in Chesterton, Ind. growing up, was originally recruited by Bryce Drew when Fazekas was still in high school. Valparaiso was was an option for him, but he opted to head to Providence instead. Fazekas had a solid freshman season for the Friars, starting 12 games, while averaging 18.8 minutes and 5.1 points per game. However, in his sophomore campaign his numbers dropped to 11.8 minutes a game and three points per game. Fazekas is widely known as a shooter, and was recruited as such for the Friars. However, with his size and length, it’s fair to say his game can be taken to new heights.

wasn't he the first player off the bench against usc? really wish it could've worked here. most likely would've been important to next year's rotation and then gotten bumped back as a sr.
