1. Are we in right now no matter what? 75/25 yes. 2. Who is our regular season MVP? Cartwright3. Who is our breakthrough player of the season? Lindsey4. Did the season exceed your expectations? Yes, mostly. I expected .500 in the Big East and an NIT berth. We managed a bit better than the .500 and seem headed to The Dance.5. Cooley's finest coaching job at PC? No but it's one where he overcame a bad start - horrible losses to BC and DePaul and too long not engaging Diallo and Jackson. Ed corrected all that and ran off six straight - which he needed......and DID. Hats off.

People forget about the 12-13 team...that is up there for Cooley's best coaching jobs. Consider everything that went wrong that season, and to still end up 9-9 in the old BE was phenomenal.
He's just a bigtime coach, and that's why I always have hope heading into a season...his teams have been seriously doubted each of the past 5 seasons. The guy gets the most out of what he has.

Cooley is putting up seasons competing for "best of career".... for me it's the 13/14 "Iron 6" squad that won the BET and forced their way onto the blue carpet at the barrel of a figurative gun with the auto bid thus ending our 10 year run of anguish......For this team to surpass they either have to win the BET or better yet make sweet 16. If they do either that would mark his career pinnacle thus far based on the age and expectations of this group.

That '12-13 season was insane. I distinctly remember watching the Friars lose a close game against Penn State in OT with 6 players dressed in total, including Teddy Bancroft, Lee Goldsbrough, and Brice Kofane. Considering all that -- the suspensions, illnesses, dislocated shoulders, and sprained ankles, it's really, r eally nice to have a relatively boring year regarding player health and availability.

I agree we are in and KC was our best player. Ed's first team with essentially non D-1 talent was just as good imo. This team grew up before our eyes. Jackson, Diallo and Young are completely different players than they were in first 3 or 4 games in BE this year. I think one thing everyone overlooks is how good our assistants are. I think Battle, Blaney etc are top shelf and you see when we play teams a second time around. Their adjustments have been spot on.

I remember that game, we had Fortune run point for 45 minutes as a freshman that game. That team started BE play 2-7, and finished 7-2. Lost two overtime games to Uconn.
