Playing great. Scoring inside and outside. Defending. Rebounding. Passing.
His greatly improved play has been a key part of the Friars' resurgence.

I liked what I saw from Young today too. Big on the boards, had a nice backside spin move to his left in the post.

Next year's star...only one way that is possible.
He's been awesome since shu and is the reason for us going in this winning streak.

Jackson was the player of the game and is the number one difference maker in this winning streak.
Gives us rebounding, defense and toughness but most importantly he is a second capable ball handler and distributor in the half court. Ed and his teammates have a lot of confidence in him right now.

And mentally and physically tough.
Really like our eight man rotation right now. Great to see the balanced scoring attack also.

He's opened my eyes the last few weeks. I see athleticism, defense and some smarts with occasional offensive threats given a good shot. Basically he can offer whatever we need in a given situation. His defense against Depaul early helped open up the lead for us. His arms and hands are constantly up, in motion and pestering the ball handler or reaching into the potential passing lane.

Like Turner said yesterday about Jackson, he had man against boys drives to the basket.. He is a load when he puts his shoulder into his defender and drives to the rim.. Plus he has been able to hit timely 3's and has been one of our better free throw shooters..
....gotta love friartown...

Mentioned before, while watching the crunching end of the Creighton tilt at Omaha, the Friars were breaking the huddle after a time out and Jackson was laughing. This was but moment before he whipped the ball back out to Kyron for the killer three and our improbable last second W.
That quick glimpse on TV spoke volumes as he was obviously quite loose despite the circumstances and tension.
He was battered from pillar to post by some earlier this season - yet it was largely out of frustration and impatience by us desperate to find something to hold on to as the team struggled. His emergence, along with the solid play of Diallo have been the difference makers on this team and yesterday certainly showed that as Cartwright was dealing with his personal loss and Rodney was largely a non-factor hobbled by fouls.
Whoever recruited/approved his transfer deserves recognition because methinks we are only beginning to see the value in this "do everything/anything" type of player who will only get better.
