The others hood saif njit was moved up a 1/2 hour on a Monday night....assume there are other BE games scheduled before pc shu so they'd have to shift other games or compete with the nfl prime time game that night. We'd be pretty hissed if PC was forced to make the change. I think NJIT was scheduled in advance at 6:30 PM to not conflict with Pats on MNF. The Butler game is also a 6:30 tip and I think someone mentioned that this was to not conflict with UFC or something. But that's different than rescheduling a couple weeks in advance. However it works out I hope they get a strong fan showing in the Dunk.

Not a sellout tonight. Many empty seats in the nosebleeds. Consider me shocked we didn't sell out tonight. Hashtag surprised 10,446? I thought it was pretty strong, especially with no students. Only 1 endzone balcony was wide open. I thought the school did a great job with their ticket special filling in where the students sit, both baskets were full when just 2 days ago they were all unsold. That said I wish we'd sellout with our season thus far, even for weeknight games against someone not named Villanova. Tons of avail tickets for X. UCONN had 11,319 in a 15,000+ arena last night. edit: updated original post with last night's numbers.

Updated original post with the latest numbers and adjusted the averages. The 2 most recent home games were:
Seton Hall 11,148 Butler 10,918
We're averaging over 11,000 a game for conference play, up 2,000 per game over the first 4 last year. Note we finished with 4 straight sellouts last year. We are on pace to crush last years numbers both OOC and in Conference. Georgetown and Nova are sold out and Depaul will sell out (<500 left). Others should be strong as well. Cooley is very pleased as he mentioned both crowd enthusiasm and attendance last night in his comments after the game.

If the individual seat map is to be believed this one is going to be a sellout or close. I expect 11,500-sell out if everyone shows. The map only displays 250 or so tickets available. Yesterday there had to be 1000 tickets or more left but looks like a lot went. And it should be a damn sellout with two top 10 teams. Wish I could go. The Dunk will be rocking tonight.
Nova and Georgetown are sold out. Depaul has about 100 tickets left on the map, its a sat so that will sell out. The school is marketing Depaul and Creighton with the reminder of the last chances to enjoy this year's team and Kris Dunn at home. The final numbers will be a notable upswing on attendance and third straight year under Cooley.

Yep top star attractions like Dunn and Bentil will do that in this town.
I wonder how it compares to Marvin and Ernie followed by Marvin and Kevin.
We need more of the same...sooner rather than later.

12,804. Thought this configuration of dunk maxed out at 12,410 or something. Heard students were out early. Shame they witnessed a tough loss.

I specifically remarked that when we pulled within 3 w 1:13 left, it seemed the students were still there in full support. In my eye, no quick exit tonight. With about 20 seconds to go, after a few Xavier points, many Dunk fans started to move to the exits but that was when the game was lost. And some of us didn't get home until 12:30. PIZZA, SODA, GRINDERS!!!

Haven't seen an atmosphere start to finish like that since maybe the Pitt game senior night with McDermott and gang. This was probably better than that. Students filled up the section behind the PC end basket early, then they were at the other end in the upper sections. Easily had to be 1500 or maybe more students tonight.
Students and the "aging" crowd made it deafening in there. Hassett commented that Mack wanted in the last minute but couldn't get his players to hear, ended up with Macura taking an NBA 3 wide open to put the dagger in and give X a six point lead.
Nova at home up next, 2:30pm Feb. 6. Hoping Friars can come in with 2 road wins to make up for another home loss.
