Providence will provide $3,000 per scholarship athlete for BB and ice hockey ..both men and woman.
BE is discussing providing "full cost of attendance" for all sports but PC is going ahead with the 4 teams now.

The BE has not set a league policy.
Full cost can be the Financial Aid formula and some schools could vary the number based on distance from home.
As far as I know $3k is competitive.
Of course while folks don't want to hear this, the number is meaningless against schools that provide $ unofficially.
I view this as PC providing assistance to players, especially inner city players who probably have always struggled with travel and other costs.
For a need based non athlete "full cost" has been used for years.
We won't win any recruiting battles with this stipend.

UCLA is supposedly paying $ 5,000 to every scholarship athlete in all sports commencing Sept 1st

Sorry.I just noticed that my comment did not go through. $250 a month is reasonable. Of course,will be tough to beat some of the big football schools. Thank you.
