Until further notice I'm going with the snub theory. He wasn't told he'd be first option. It bothered him. UVa,VTU I don't think so. URich,VCU, maybe. Mason, ODU, Radford probably. Waiting this long also becomes a problem for him. I'd guess most schools are at 13 by now.

boston: Josh thinks we're a low major and that he will end up at a high-major? Is that what you're saying? That being the case, well good luck kid. Never gave it a thought that the problem was it was too easy for him here. Good grief.

One in the south and one in mid west/west. Not sure he has at inside info but I going the schools he thinks he can play at shocking.

That's not even factoring in Austin.

What difference would it have made to Cooley had he known a month ago....he's reportedly shown interest in every guard prospect across the country....it's not like we're out of ships....I also doubt any potential recruit saw josh at the 2 and was concerned about PT....my guess ( complete guess) is he was ok with freshman 2gs but got sick of the 5th year recruits and mason put it over the top...
...sorry A - if Kadeem batts transferred to another school last year we would have been hissed.....the quality of player and amount of PT doesn't make it more right or wrong....cotton had one foot out two years ago?... Bad kid?
If he thinks he can have more LT success at another program, more power to him...I'll miss him but I don't see it....

Walk, you don't seem to understand that Kofane left with help from Cooley....not in opposition to him....huge, mind blowing difference IMHO....

It's probably Kentucky (ha). I'm sure they were impressed with him and have an available 'ship waiting (ha).

If my logic doesn't work for you, then let's just agree to disagree on this one, Walk.

I never heard once that Kofane wanted to stay...but even of he did, he is using his last year somewhere else with the blessing of the coach in order to get more playing time...total difference between that and a starter leaving.

For the record, I have always been against running players off due to a recruiting mistake by the coach.
If what Kiwi said is true, I think that was plain wrong.

So if the kid wants to stay it's ok for the coach to say no thanks but not the other way around?...and I don't have a problem at all with Cooley pulling the plug on Kofane if that's what happened....what if josh thinks mason is coming and sees his minutes dropping? He's all of a sudden a bad kid b/c he leaves without cooleys ok?

I don't think he's a bad kid at all...I think he is making a bad decision. Huge difference.
And I am hoping that there is not more to this. I don't frone second think he thought his minutes would be drastically cut. We're a 4 seed in the nit without him turning it on in march last year...

As an Occamite: He just played two seasons with a guard who he probably felt didn't give up the ball and was the favorite of the HC. That kind of thing gets to some people. Especially if he doesn't feel he is going to be treated as Bryce was, now that he's an upperclassman.
When this nonsense comes out I think it's going to be about ego, perhaps cloaked in something else. And I'm not looking forward to anything from his mother in print. Cooley has enough to deal with without another jaundiced view the projo will be all to happy to headline.
