FAREWELL FROM THE FRIARS TO THE BEB: WE HAD A GREAT RUN!
7 years is indeed a noteworthy milestone albeit bittersweet as it is a sad one as the news is 'officially' out that the BEB will be shutting down on April 30, 2012!
After considering the kind and generous offer from the BEB's founder and 'mojo domo' forceten to perhaps "take over" the BEB, in the end the PC Mods and Fans decided to start anew at: www.friartownhoops.proboards.com/index.cgi
ALL BEB members are invited to visit/join our 100% free newly launched PC FAN FORUM even as the slant and focus is focused on FriarTown Hoops and Hockey and Providence College Sports it will also include many features and references to our continuing efforts to compete within the new and larger Big East.
The BEB has truly been a wonderful Forum for many years for a long-long time and we are truly appreciative! Always FREE and welcoming the BEB provided a safe haven for many FRIAR Fans and Alums who needed an alternative from another site, a commercially run enterprise that many perceived as troublesome at best...
Since 2005-6, our rapid growth and activity here on the BEB, considering we are the smallest school in the Big East, certainly spoke to that from day one - with our 9600+ topics and 75,000+ posts
Thank you to all who made this a great place to be for such a long time - we had a great run!
