Thoughts and Prayers to the victims and their families from todays attack. There is nothing like being at the Boston Marathon watching for a family member to cross the finish line.
I spent many a Patriot Day in Fenway waiting for the 3 hour mark so we could head down to Boylston St. to see my dad cross the finish line representing The Westerly Track Club.

I think many of us have been there at one time or another mikemc - always a wonderful event with a true international feel now forever stained by this horror.
So many innocent folks there, many doing just what you spoke of - on hand to welcome a family member or a friend as they finally finished the marathon. Prayers for all who have been directly affected .
As it is right now, we don't know if this is foreign or domestic terrorism but it is an act of cowardice and madness regardless of who is behind this.

1 suspect dead, the white hat dude on the run. Supposedly both with foreign connections and have been in the country for about a year, legally.
1 MIT police officer shot dead another officer wounded.
Firefight with explosive like grenades used by the suspects.
Crazy!
