A band named themselves "Marvin Barnes Time Machine". Bob Costas has told the story hundreds of times. Its a very famous story. Sorry to burst your bubble, Info. I actually remembered the incident from when it happened. When I called it a legend, it was a legend to me only. Little did I know that it really was a legend. One more thing: In my teens I followed the old ABA (and years later the old USFL) and was a collector of memorabilia for both.
