My take on this;
Sans UConn, the BE Conference Schools recognize the importance and value of our basketball centric League with its Championship at MSG.
UConn has made a jump previously, only to witness its basketball brand languish in the AAC. The Huskies have the leverage to stay put and still schedule annual OOC hoop games with the likes of Kansas and Arizona. To think that UConn is actually considering a shift in its priorities, based on football (which wouldn't kick in until Year 7 of its Big12 affiliation) is somewhat perplexing.
In question at the end of the day is the degree to which the Administratiors in Storrs lust for the money grab, at the expense of the Student Athletes across all sports, who will be dragged back and forth all over the continent to play games

I think UConn definitely leaves if they are offered. Will the other B12 schools sign off on UConn and this basketball only TV rights experiment if it doesn’t start until 2031?

Not a total rejection, just a pause...

Not a total rejection, just a pause... Perhaps Flyer but methinks he couldn't convince the same AD's as before to say aye

In my mind, The Pause had everything to do with an inability to convince Big12 schools that UConn Football is a sound bet for the Conference. This too must have played into reports that UConn Football wouldn’t be admitted for 7-years and only if the Huskies had a minimum average of 35,000 fans attending its home games.

35,000? Even if the tickets and parking were free they wouldn't get 35,000 to that dump of a stadium in East Hartford...

35,000? Even if the tickets and parking were free they wouldn't get 35,000 to that dump of a stadium in East Hartford... ...essentially to watch FCS level football...for example this week UConn plays Merrimack that has to be less than five years removed from D2. How many fans "pack" The Rent for this title level bout?

Anybody think the ACC would take the uncouth traitors with all the contingencies that '82 detailed? I doubt BC would be in favor.

BC will always veto any UCONN to ACC move. Cuse probably would also.
....gotta love friartown...

I think UConn to the ACC would depend on how much the other power conferences pillage from the existing members. I’ve never understood the people who think the B10 and SEC will bloat to 30 teams, there just isn’t clear benefit for the teams already in those leagues
