Here are the key points in Kim English's discussion with Kevin McNamara...

(the conversation starts at the 22:20 mark)
- Portal is a fluid process. Kim chose to move quicker than other programs. The staff had identified their needs, including a focus on meshing with players on the current Roster, and went and got "some talented players".
- Player acquisition is a huge part of what coaches focused on. Kim is "really excited" about the new players (HS and Portal), and believes they'll fit seamlessly with the players we already have.
- Kim wants to keep targeting New England kids...He's "really excited" to have Ryan Mela
- The Staff got to witness Bensley Joseph play against us at Mohegan... can shoot it and defend...good speed...can see him playing with JP in the backcourt
- Wesley played his uncle (a good friend of Kim's) who moved on from Chicago State. He's a combo guard, who played a lot of point this past season. He can defend multiple positions, shoot it from 3 and/or get to the rim.
- Jabri is a "supreme shooter" who really fits into what Kim wants to do. He shot 37% from deep this past season, with a ton of attempts.
- Christ Essandoko's and Josh Oduro's freshman numbers are very much in line with each other. Kim is excited about the player that Christ can become down the line. The kid "absolutely loves Providence" and has a great family.
- Anton Bonke and his Mom chose PC when they did, because they're looking for "rapid improvement in his development", by going against Josh in practice each day, and watching how other BE 7-footers operated during games.
- Justyn Fernandez is back to 100% following rehab.
- Richard Baron's recovery from shoulder surgery is going well. He's looking forward to getting home for a couple of weeks following exams, prior to coming back for summer workouts.
- The staff aren't necessarily focused on a timeline for Bryce, but rather the need to get him back to 100% and finishing strong
- Regarding the tampering tweet, Kim "said what he said". He's not really focused on "civility". He's focused on his team.
