MU moo'd the middle of the lane for so so many easy baskets early. (I believe SJ may have generated an impressive win with such play recently.) Coach English might wish to continue to open up that option to his team on offense.

While I didn’t expect a drubbing, this was a tough one going in. It’s Nova or NIT… must win NIT? ? Man you guys are crazy

Nice headline ESPN...No. 5 Marquette trounces Providence 91-69 despite losing Kolek to oblique injury
Then within article, "Kolek headed into the tunnel with just over 15 minutes left as Marquette led 60-37."

Our performance was more than disappointing and worthy of this unfortunate write up. Time to see if the team has the Mindset to regroup for a “must win” on Saturday. By the way, pc93, congrats on your own performance with Pick’em. In First Place by a nice margin with a few games to go!

As I posted a month ago. If Pierre returns next year, he needs to spend all summer learning to at least play some defense against BE guards. He is like a revolving door.

I don't know what is worse, seeing Bynum getting backed down and bullied, or watching the blow byes, with Pierre trailing. Both frustrating as hell.

Nova has more outs if they lose at PC; their games after Friars are at Seton Hall then home against Creighton. And, their win against UNC likely carries tons of weight in the NET more than any PC win so far. More than the Marquette win?

And a few layups from Floyd would be nice, too... Floyd blocks his own layups a lot by hitting the bottom of the rim. That's a lousy pot shot at Corey who played better than most. He shot 4-8 from the field, 2-2 from the arc, 3-4 from the line (all better than the team average). Truth is, no one was going to beat Marquette last night. They played superbly. PIZZA, SODA, GRINDERS!!!

He has bad games on occasion but when he is on he is as good as anyone on the team not named Devin Carter. And he isn’t afraid to mix it up inside with the big boys. If he could learn to finish at the rim he would be tough.

Visions of Kentucky in NCAA and at UConn this season in my head as I say I hope to see him figure it all out and become a star for the Friars next year as Carter has in his time.
