First Segment:
- Holding onto sole possession of 5th Place with a lot of basketball to still be played.
- MQ game is the most important thing to Kim right now. Only thing we can control at this point.
- BE Tournament Bye is really important to Kim.
- Kim doesn't get caught up in NCAA Tourney Brackets. It's a distraction to what takes place over 40-minutes on the court Wednesday.
- Bye week allowed bodies to rest, longer prep time to prepare, ability to get out and recruit.
- Ticket (aka: "Batman") had another mask to tryout during practice and evaluate which he likes best.
- Regarding Xavier game: Kim liked the venue, very tight but student section is small; Kim felt we had control of the game in 2nd Half; Got stops when needed.
- Kim gives Tim Welsh tremendous credit for the BE members that he had to compete against. Kim loves the level of players on conference competitors today.
- Togetherness, connectiveness, defensive energy, enthusiasm and rebounding are important attributes over the balance of the schedule.
Second Segment:
- BHop joins the show.
- Was great to join the team and support them on the road at Xavier.
- This is the first injury BHop has had to deal with. Real adjustment in terms of day-to-day stuff (showering, sleeping...)
- Began lifting again 2-weeks ago. Feels good to work-up a sweat.
- July/August before he can get on the court and begin cutting et.al. Bryce expects to be on the floor next season.
- As a spectator, the game seems slower for Bryce, allowing him to appreciate the game plans even more.
- BHop looking to pick-up and support his teammates during the balance of the season. Focused on helping the younger guys.
- Bryce feels that playing time younger players are getting is moving the program in the right direction. Barron and CFJ picking up confidence.
- Kim mentioned how smart and perceptive Bryce is...game is slowing down for him. Taking advantage of downtime to improve shooting mechanics (while sitting).
- Rooke made a plug for BHop's Buffalo Blue Cheeze Chips. Bryce's NIL agency put the deal together with the chip manufacturer. No "shrinkflation" in the bag per Rooke!
- Chips can be bought on Amazon, and in convenience stores in the region.
Third Segment:
- Josh Oduro joins the show.
- As a new father, Josh is slowly getting reps changing diapers. He's having to adjust to interrupted sleep at night.
- Having a child is one additional priority to balance. He's really excited to be a father.
- Josh's improved performance of late is partially inspired by desire to provide for his family.
- Pickup in offensive stats can be attributed to his teammates. All the guards are doing a great job looking for Josh and getting him the ball.
- Kim views Josh as one of our guards... makes the right play every time he's doubled... reading the defense to find the open person.
- Josh has been coached different ways to attack different types of defenders.
- Rooke expressed everyone's wish that Josh had another year to play in Friartown. Real treat to watch.
- Josh wished he had more time... some of the best fans and a great arena. Appreciated opportunity to play with current teammates, competing against BE level talent.
- Down the stretch, Josh really would like to win the BE Tournament and earn a birth in the NCAAs.
Fourth Segment:
- Devin Carter joins the show.
- Made the BE Honor Roll again this past week. Still more out there to accomplish, beginning with win at MQ.
- In the wake of BHop's injury, Devin had to shoulder added responsibility. The teammates have really helped him in the process, doing good job getting him open looks.
- One thing Devin can control during games is his energy, effort and attitude.
- So many great moments for Devin this season. He gets most satisfaction out of winning (over any individual stats).
- Kim had to transform team drills to create challenges for Devin.
- Devin moved a lot as a kid, preparing him to play for three different coaches in three years.
Final Segment:
- Really hard to beat a team twice. MQ is good enough to win a national championship per Kim.
- Providence G-Pub will be hosting a Game Watch for PC vs. MQ.
