Did you guys see the end of that Yale game at Vermont? Yale was up 5 (65-60) with 8 seconds left, gave up a 2 with .6 seconds and instead of just throwing the inbound full court to end it tried to inbound under VT hoop and had a violation. VT inbounds to catch and shoot 3 pointer, kid hits it plus foul. Nails free throw for walkoff VT win at home. 66-65

I suspect Brown will be ready Sunday to get a second state upset They always seem to play well against the Friars. We're 73-8 vs Brown since 1949 by an avg margin of 15.5 pts. They don't play us that well. A few Cooley "Brown stains" notwithstanding. Also we should never travel there again, they're several notches below our program and I don't understand going to lower tier competitions gyms OOC. The only one I'd excuse is URI because we've gone there more often and longer than Brown and also they should in theory be better comp. www.sports-reference.com/cbb/schools/providence/men/head-to-head.html

"well" is a relative term here. "They ... play well against the Friars" meaning relative to their typical performance versus Ivy opponents. I've been to enough games at the Pizzitola Center to have formed a general impression.

You may have a valid point there Mick. I won't pretend to understand NET very well...... Would a road victory against brown help our NET significantly enough to justify such a trip?

The media loves to “give credit” when a high major school plays on the road at a mid major school, but it only gets attention when the high major loses. See Auburn at App St from two weeks. Not a single media member said boo about that game until they saw Auburn was on the ropes in the second half. There is no benefit for the high major team, only risk of being embarrassed

If you are going to play 1-2 road games in your non-con, why waste one on a team in the 200s. Play a top 75 high major team and it helps your tournament profile
